I just signed up for my second account (business) after revicing my 22.5k mile from my personal account. Now I am wondering when I use my miles to buy my reward ticket to China those actual traveled miles (15,300) on that 'free' ticket will also be credited to my onepass once travel is completed. That would be like double dipping if it happens.

Then check the column on the right side of the page, item #4
I have a Chase branch nearby, so I haven't tried this, but it appears that you may be able to set up an account over the phone.

Opening an account online or by phone seems only possible for a Personal checking account. Sure would love to hear evidence to the contrary though.

Chase website says that you can redeem coupon codes online: https://www.chase.com/psmhelp/index....e/Coupon_Offer

There's a spot for a coupon code on the first page if you click through chase.com to find the basic account called Chase Checking then click Apply. Can anyone confirm if entering the code in this field does in fact work? But apparently not for business? For those in the past that said they opened theirs online did you use this method?
It DOES work. I opened my chase checking online since I don't have any chase bank offices around. I've got miles credited soon after opening account.

Anyone from WA state able to open account online?
WA state license numbers contain a star "*" symbol, which is causing the online application to barf:
"Please enter a valid identification number. Valid numbers cannot contain spaces or any special characters."
Any workaround that people are aware of?

I entered the license number without the *, and the application went through just fine. Weird.
The online application does not ask for the OnePass number at any point. Anyone figured out how to enter that?

It appears to autopopulate the info based on matching information between the two systems. It should show up online within a few days of the account showing up there; if not, just send a secure email to Chase, and they'll fix it fairly easily.

FWIW, I opened business and personal accounts at the local branch in mid December 2009. All 50,000 from those two posted with no problems. Mid January I opened another personal account on-line. I received the two letters in the mail acknowledging the promotion with official looking "tracking numbers" for the miles. Made all my purchases and dotted my i's and crossed my t's following the rules. As of now, no 10,000 deposit or 12,500 deposit from Chase. The 2,500 from Continental did post, as did the miles from the purchases so I know it is linked to my Onepass account correctly. I called them Tuesday and they didn't have an explanation. The lady on the phone sounded really skeptical as she questioned me, "wait a minute,,,,,,, you have how many accounts????" but she promised to initiate an investigation and get back to me in 4-6 business days.
I finally got my miles for my account opened on-line in Janurary. They never did respond as promised regarding the investigation. Sending an on-line secure message including a scanned pdf attachment of the letters they sent me got the useless response "Thank you for contacting Chase. I apologize for the confusion on the account. Please contact the customer service number on the back of the debit card so they can resolve this issue."
22,500 miles posted today around noon, dated yesterday. I have no idea what I did that finally got them to post or if it was the result of some sort of internal accounting but I got my miles.
I already had the 2,500 and also 50,000 from accounts opened mid December. Since they extended the promotion I have held off opening my 2010 business account until I achieved resolution on the January personal account but it looks all clear to open another business account.

For the accounts you opened in December, did you meet the requirements in December? Or in 2010?

The accounts were opened in December 2009 and the requirements were met in December 2009 however, for the personal account the 10,000 and 12,500 posted dated Jan 4 2010 and the 2,500 posted Feb 17 2010. Plus the 25,000 for a business account in the same time frame.
In the mean time I opened another personal account online about January 15 2010 and completed the requirements for that one around Feb 1. The 2,500 posted March 17, and the 10,000 and 12,500 FINALLY posted dated April 12.
So 75,000 miles posted since starting in December, and off this Saturday to open my 2010 business account.

Thanks. That sounds like a nice haul so far this year.
I'm going to try opening another account this week. I opened one (of each) in December, but I didn't get the debit cards until January, so technically I may have gotten my "2010 reward" already. It's worth trying for though; worst case scenario I will lose $25, but it seems that for those who didn't qualify, they were actually told that they already got the offer this year.
