Tried to open online a business account. I had business relationship with them in the past and have a business login. Did not help. Went through the whole process including i.d. verification only to receive prior to funding the following message:

"We're unable to process your information. The Coupon Code you entered cannot be redeemed online. For assistance, please call us at 1-877-242-7372, or visit a Chase branch near you. To continue your application without the Coupon Code, click "Proceed Without Coupon Code."
Called the branch to see if I can do it by phone since they have all my info.

Will update when I hear back.

On the business checking the purchases can be made after april 1 right? Will I still qualify for another 25k after already opening a personal checking? I plan to go back to the bank and open the second business account soon.

My husband and I each opened a personal and business account at a branch last weekend. I had done both last summer and he had done both last fall. Mine went fine, but when the banker went in to redeem the coupon for my husbands business account it didn't work. She got into a huge arguement with me over the meaning of 'calendar year' (from the T&C's). I spent a long time trying to point out the fact that a calendar goes from January to December and she insisted it just meant 12 mos. She was obviously wrong, but she wouldn't budge and I wouldn't give up. She eventually agreed to speak with her manager on monday. She finally called me back and said that the reason the system wouldn't take the coupon code was that even though it was a different code from the account opened last fall it had the same first 7 digits, which the computer recognized as the same promotion even though it is a different calendar year. When I pulled up a new coupon code from the links here on FT and tried refreshing I always came up with the same first 7 digits. I finally did a google search and came up with a coupon with a different first 7 digits. Sent her an e-mail, she input it, and we are on our way to another 50k miles!

Give that a try if you are having problems and have done this before. I work for another bank so know that most bankers are not looking out to help you and just want their jobs to be as easy as possible. Don't give up!

I am still waiting for mile 22,500 bonus miles to post from the personal account I opened in January. I sent an online message to Chase and in the response the person said I would be receiving the bonus miles on March 23(not sure where that date came into play?). Still no miles. I have emailed Chase as well as called the dedicated Continental Airlines debit card number and all I get is "We'll call you back when we look into it". It is getting a little frustrating...but we'll see how it works out

Looks like this offer is extended again till June 30, 2010. Make sure to wait and sign up for the next Mileathon beginning April 1st to maximize the bonus miles.

Unfortunately I think I signed up for my account in the beginning of january...any idea how I can find out if I signed up in Dec or not? I'd like another 25,000 if it's available.

I'd really hate to miss this offer--only a few more days left. Has anyone tried applying for the *business* account online and been successful? I opened a personal account online successfully--was a bit of a pain, e.g. having to deal with customer service and getting them to link my OP# to the account--because it's not asked for during the online app process.

Has anyone with a personal account tried to open a business account over the phone? I think someone has said or hinted that it may be possible to open the business checking over the phone if one already had a "business relationship" with Chase (I, unfortunately, do not).
I never really got too in depth with it because i don't have the necessary paperwork to open a business checking acct, but frugaltravelguy had a step-by-step process a couple months back www.frugaltravelguy.com.

try searching for continental onepass, it shoudnt be too tough to find. January sounds about right.

Dang. Just did my current calendar year sign up for the Per & Biz on Saturday. Had Mrs. Aces do the same. I had been watching that page on the OP site all month and the expiry date wasn't changing. I couldn't risk losing out on 100K of miles by waiting until April and wasn't able to get in to the bank this week to open the accounts. I'll still be a happy camper as long as the 100k posts.

If the points from opening the checking post in April, does that count for mileathon? Or do you have to open the checking and get the points in the same period?

Great question - I don't know. I wasn't following One Pass on the last one, and the T&C's aren't yet up for the current one (that I know of). Here is the FT board on the last one if that'll help (post #6).

+1 I am even worse.... I just opened Per & Biz 3 hours ago, without checking FT in the morning. I thought I couldn't risk it either... Well.... it probably would have been almost 10,000 extra miles for two accounts...

I almost opened yesterday a biz account over the phone. When I read the Chase rep the coupon number I realized that the date changed, so told her we will do it after April 1st.

I'm glad I read this. I'm sitting outside Chase ready to go in and open a biz account but decided to check here to see if the offer is extended. I guess I'll print a new coupon and come back tomorrow!
