Has anyone been able to open a first-time business checking account on the phone or online with just an EIN?

Should I be worried? Is there some step I missed, such as sending in paperwork? I thought that was required only for first-time accounts.
Took 5 business days for funds to clear into the chase account for me. I did it all online as well.

Do I need to have the coupon when I open up the accounts? If so, I need someone to post a link to the coupon.

You can just Google Continenetal, checking, Chase, then click through the list of CO options to the kind you want. That's what I do.

I've called the main number for Chase on my debit card as well as the 877 292 4273 number and I'm told that I will get my issue forwarded to a 'research specialist' and receive a call back in 24 to 48 hours, which I never do. The internet service center person, though the secure message, told me my coupon was finalized on the 23rd of March and I would be receiving my miles in 7-10 business days. I hope that I wake up tomorrow and my OnePass account is 22.5k miles larger. I guess we will see

I'm a little frustrated but I know that I will get the miles, as I have tracking numbers for the coupon code I entered as well as having fulfilled the debit card purchases each and every statement period...just kinda weird that some that have opened accounts online haven't had these issues.

apparently my mileage varied
FINALLY received my miles this morning....personal checking opened in a branch last year, business checking opened in a branch this year, and personal checking opened online this year...75,000 miles for $115...not too bad

Great. I am in exactly the same situation but no 22,500 yet for me. I have pretty much followed the same path. I was just getting ready to fire off a paper letter but it is very promising that you got results.

I REALLY want to settle this soon since I have a BEAUTIFUL three country USA to SE Asia award itinerary, all in first class on Asiana and Singapore airlines all mapped out with open availability and I am 5,000 miles short of booking it when Chase owes me 22,500. I will be very mad if first class availability goes away while I fight for my miles.

Hi people, don't like saying hey guys, i prefer not to generalize women as "hey guys, you guys, etc"
I opened my personal account at the branch on March 18th and the 22,500 miles posted to my onepass account with a posting date of April 5th. Now time to open that business account too. My statement date printed today.

That's another option, but don't forget that if you use that indirect route you need to refresh the page for a unique certificate number, since each is good only once.

It takes some time, probably between 5-7 business days for most.

Nice post!

Nice post, MrPickles ! A picture paints a thousand words. I am sure this will help many people interested in this deal and like to open the acct online instead of a branch visit.

I just signed up for my second account (business) after revicing my 22.5k mile from my personal account. Now I am wondering when I use my miles to buy my reward ticket to China those actual traveled miles (15,300) on that 'free' ticket will also be credited to my onepass once travel is completed. That would be like double dipping if it happens.

Did anyone keep having their credit card declined when applying online? I tried using a Chase credit card, as well as a debit card, and the online system rejected both of them.
