I have also tried to apply a few times for the business account online and the first few times just received a generic error message, but the last time I tried, I received a message that I could not get a business checking account as there are no chase branches in my zip code.

I asked a CSR about that a couple of months ago, and the answer was that there was no minimum. I've got $5 per pay period set up as a direct deposit on one account. I've gone through one billing period now with the direct deposit being the only activity, and was not charged a fee. And be advised this is only for the Personal account monthly fee waiver. I don't think you can get the Bus account fee waived with a direct deposit - you need to do the 5 debit card transactions per month.

Exclamation Date of offer is not date of account openning?

I tried to open a business account at a local branch today. However, the system could not take the coupon code, saying that "the offer is already submitted. One offer per customer". I tried another coupon code and it didn't work either. The branch manager showed me that my previous account was open on Dec. 31, 2009 but their system also shows bonus shipped on 01/10/2010 (maybe the day that I made the debit card transaction). She thought that might be the reason that the system thinks I already took the offer in 2010 instead of 2009. Anyone has similar experience? Thanks a lot.

I've used monthly direct deposits of $100 from my paycheck and gotten miles from Chase accounts by doing so.

I tried opening business checking online. It says coupon cannot be redeemed online.
I guess business would only allow if opened in the branch. Or the coupon i am using is old already.

Also, it seems I have nowhere to input my OnePASS number, I guess Chase will generate a new one for me.

Thanks!
The system says 15K miles for my coupon too. Is this normal? Or it should say 25K? Thanks a lot.

Did you refresh the page before printing?

DD is in the terms. The big question is can we do an ACH into Chase and get the miles w/o doing purchases.

It might be that only if you have an existing business relationship online you can open online, this is the data point that needs to be verified.

Does anyone know what the chances are that this offer will be extended beyond the 31st deadline into Mileathon territory? Have they previously announced any extensions prior to the actual end of the promo?

She then set about opening my acct. and was able to add both promotions. Hopefully I'll be a happy boy in about 60 days. Thanks for all those who posted their experiences & helpful hints.

I'm not sure why I received the printed offer for the $125 bonus but I also got one last summer from Chase/WaMu.
The $125 posted in my checking account yesterday. The miles should post in a few weeks. Double dipping is possible. BTW, I received another $125 bonus cert. for opening a new checking acct. today with my Chase UA Visa bill. Maybe an acct. for my wife.

I need to make sure I do this before the end of March. I just got the 30k CC (Might just get 25k for not adding someone else) and then hopefully doing 2x of these .. personal and business ... to get a nice chunk of miles + what I already have for OnePass

Just for info, I opened a personal, basic account with a $25 annual fee at the beginning of January. I got the 22,500 miles pretty quickly. The last 2,500 posted 6 weeks later. The $25 annual fee was charged at the end of the 2nd month. I have set up a $200 direct debit from my company for every month, so far have not had any monthly fees (the direct debit is supposed to remove the need for 5 debit card transactions every month if I remember correctly).

At the end of 6 months when it is okay to cancel the account, I will do that, and hope there is another offer and just open it at another nearby branch saying it was more convenient, as if they would care (they love opening accounts).

This has been my experience as well. Still waiting for that 2,500 miles to post though. It's been about 2 weeks since the 22,500 deposited.

My experience is fairly close to yours, but my miles took a bit longer to be added, about 8 weeks.
