I have a Virgin Gold card and am resident in UK
Can I get a status match to CX??

I travel to Far East a lot usually on Virgin but have realised amassing all the miles with them comes to nothing as I dont really travel anywhere they fly for leisure - more likely use BA which I can collect on CX etc

Have a long FE 6 segment trip in a week or so with CX- so would status matching be of any use anyway (trip is booked all in J class)

Thanks I am new to all this so not really sure of the benefits etc etc!!

Because I didn't update my profile, they downgraded me to silver after I stopped flying with them due to the total degradation of the program last year.

CO Match from LH SEN

I'm wondering if CO will match my LH SEN Status into their Gold/Platinum Status? Anyone an idea?

Thanks and regards

UA metal only for status match?

At the end of the 90-day period, if you meet the challenge, then you get to keep your status and UA mails you the Elite credential.
So no *A metal qualifies for the threshold targets?

Nope. For the 7.5K/15K challenge, the BIS miles have to be on UA metal with UA flight numbers. So it would not work if you travel on UA metal but with US codeshare.

If someone got matched today and completed the 15K BIS miles on UA metal...how long is the status good for until? Feb 28 2011? Thanks!

The status is good till Jan 31, 2012. UA's elite status ends at the end of Jan.

Has anyone ever had any success in a status match from Eurostar to any of the carriers operating LHR - CDG?
Current travel is around 30 return journeys a year in business premier on Eurostar but the service seems to be slipping a bit recently. Could be persuaded to fly more, but the lounge access with Eurostar is tough to give up!
Not likely to do too much on BA other than a few shorthauls but will do 3-4 business class trips to the US on Flying Blue/codeshares over the next 6 months

swiss air is part of Miles and More (Lufthansa's FFP). Miles and More did match in some countries last year, but I haven't heard much about cases this year.

You may be right. The website now says the promotion ends 31 November 2010, and since there is no such date....

Anyway, annoyed that in the dedicated thread on the offer, some have revealed in recent days that they've been matched to Platinum (OW Emerald). Not happy since I and others have been refused
