has anyone used AMEX received their $50 bonus yet??

OMG its been exactly 10 weeks and my Chase officialpayments.com bonus hasn't posted!

The rewards will be reflected on your monthly statement approximately 6 - 8 weeks from the end of the month in which the transaction posts to your card statement.
I made my tax payment April 15th, and today is the 56th day after the end of that month, that is 8 weeks. So I guess I should expect to see my bonus miles in no more than one week.

Has anyone seen their bonus miles yet?

Is there a Chase Bonus?
 

I had thought that Chase was offering bonus points through the United co-branded card. I called yesterday to see why the bonus points hadn't posted. I was told that they hadn't run the bonus points offer this year as they had in 2007.

So, was there a bonus points offer or not?:confused:

In 2007, double miles for paying your taxes with the Chase MP card was open to everyone, that is no invitation required, and there was no cap, so the sky was the limit on how many miles you could reap. In 2008, they made it an invitation only thing, and severely limited how many bonus miles could be earned.

I used Chase's secure message system yesterday to ask when I would see my bonus miles for paying my taxes with the card back on 4/15/08. Today, I was informed that they should show up on my next statement.

I do wonder what the future holds, that is whether they will continue to make these pay-your-taxes offers to some, all, or none of us; whether offers, if there are any, will be with or without caps; whether they will be just around April 15, or throughout the year; etc. Time will tell.

surprised me but today my UA MP account shows a "Tax Promotion Choices"
 

fwiw, I have the regular MP VISA and back in April I had emailed Chase asking to qualify for the promo.

Chase wrote back and told me NO.

Even so, I still used the promo link and my UA card . Goes to show ya never can tell ;)

To the best of my knowledge I never received the email telling me that I was qualified for the double miles bonus. I sent Chase a message asking if I was included in the promotion and received a positive reply. I did the same thing with my wife’s account and received a negative response, actually I tried twice. Today a 15K bonus appeared in my account. Unfortunately I did not try with my wife’s account.

My bonus finally just posted today as well. I also had e-mailed them asking if I was eligible, and had received a reply that I was. It is nice to see the miles without needing to call for them! ^

So will Chase repeat this wonderful promo in 2009, hopefully without any caps? I sent them a secure message a little while ago asking about it. I really hope they do.

Yes there was a bonus this year...took some fighting but mine has posted.

The answer Chase gave me today is they don't know yet whether the promo will be repeated in 2009. Hard to believe that they don't work this out long in advance (April 15 is less than 4 months away), but that's what they say and we will have to wait to see. If it comes around again, and I earnestly hope it will, then the first person to spot it should announce it here.

Absolutely, there was a bonus, although it was never widely advertised. I never had any preselection letter, and just paid through the link mentioned early in the thread very close to the April 15th deadline. I paid $15000 in tax, and as expected, got the 15K miles included on my next statement, and then later, in late-July, the other 15K miles (for double points) awarded with the notation "Chase Tax Promotion - Choices"

Has anyone received any promo from anywhere? The 4th Q ES payments are due this week.

Yes, that's certainly an appropriate question at this time. No promos have come to my attention, in particular none from Chase, which has served me so well the past several years. Can only hope these are going to materialize soon; that the offers will not be targeted, or if targeted, then targeted at me; that they will be uncapped as far as how much can be paid with the cards and how many miles or points can be earned; and that we can avail ourselves of the offers for the big one come 4/15/09. Of course, it should go without saying that I have in mind the double miles promos, which yield miles at roughly 1.25 cents each, not the regular 2.49 cents per mile or point.

If anyone sees signs of an offer, please shout out here.

I mailed in my check for 2008 Q4ES this morning. I did not see any promos anywhere.
