Very good. The SAS website says that you get 300-500 SAS bonus points per night for SAS Radisson hotels. These can be combined with other SAS points. 20,000 points gets you SAS Silver status, and 70,000 points gets you SAS Gold (or 55,000 if you live in Europe outside Sweden). Any other way to get SAS bonus points (as opposed to "extra" points, which don't contribute to status)?

I didn't. My status dropped off to nothing, but then I got the SPG Amex and it is now some psuedo-status between zip and elite.

(2) DL (Amex) and US (Visa) offer credit cards with status mile bonuses for large annual purchases. I have read that US allows multiple credit cards, so three 10K status mile bonuses (for $75K in purchases) would give you Silver status.

I only found: for Amex delta platium, you'll earn 15,000 bonus SkyMiles (5,000 of which are Medallion Qualification Miles) the first time you make a purchase..where did u get this 10k status mile for 75k purchase?

thanks.

Preferred Miles. Spend $25,000 or more in net purchases each calendar year and 10,000 of those miles you've earned will be counted as Preferred miles, which help you qualify for Preferred Membership status in the Dividend Miles program.

BTW - I found the answer to this: YES, you can earn up to 10,000 Q-miles plus some additional bonus (non-Q) miles with Cruises by AAdvantage. The number of base and bonus miles is based on length of cruise.

Noted, and added to the list at the beginning, along with the SAS Radisson suggestion. Does anyone know whether CO offers status miles for Amtrak and bus segments?

If the Amtrak or bus segment is a CO code share, it should-As I understand it, any ticket utilizing a CO flight number should earn credit, subject to CO's Elite Qualifying Miles rules (e.g., if a "deep" discounted ticket, it must be purchaed at Continental.com to get full credit).

Found it: http://www.amtrak.com/servlet/Conten...2Copy&ssid=224 That appears to be 250 CO status miles each way, or 375 miles in First Class, for BOS-NY or NY-DC Acela or Metroliner runs.

Thanks.

CO used to offer miles/points on the EWR-ABE bus. Since the full Y fare was pretty low some folks racked up segment credits that way. CO no longer offers such credit.

New offer from UA that I learned about today: When you reach 125K status miles, you can designate someone else as Premier. Maybe UA read this thread.

Speaking of the one visit US Airways Club pass .Has anyone gotten these?
We closed our accounts after asking them for them approx 6 months in a row
and not even a reply or follw-up. What gives ?
Thank You

I got it with the July (possibly June) statement and I have been told that they send them out the same time every year.

Thank you for the reply and the information.
I guess some are luckier then others It ends the mystery !
Not only did we not recieve them but the uninformed representitives and supervisors were clueless as to when they would come. It was a struggle to get our original sign up miles. While we signed up for the 10 k offer they refused the 15 k offer that was featured shortly after. There was another issue but we gave up finally and went elsewhere.
Other banks in the past were far more helpful as long as you could submit documentation of the better offer.
Of course they are fully within their rights to say no.
And we did too with our future spending.

After trawling around the other boards, I've added DL Amex's 5K MQM signup bonus and BA silver status for buying a Jaguar. UA allows one Premier designation for 125K status miles. Also, NW has a convoluted "Platinum Points" program, whereby NW Platinum members who accrue 1200 points can designate a Silver NW member, or 2400 points for a Gold member. You get Platinum Points for travel in Y class and above: http://www.nwa.com/features/platpoints.html
I did add AA rail codeshares from Paris and Frankfurt on German Rail, SNCF and Thalys, but posts on the AA board suggest that you won't get the AA miles without a connecting AA flight, so I've deleted that.
