I tried this - double dipping didn't work but my 1,000 weekly points did post so I'm happy.

Got the points. No idea of the timescale. Logged in at Liverpool Airport last night, to tweet, but my laptop battery died. Thank heavens for airport PCs!

Anyone got confirmation tweet of points yet, after a few back I now try to wait a little while to ensure they have turned the point reward system on!

I replied at 12:00 PM CST and received 1k points within 2 minutes. Wife replied at 12:02 and points finally posted at 12:16.
