Do they police this term below?

Bonus Offer Eligibility and Exclusions:

The following individuals are not eligible for the Bonus Offers:
  • Current primary or secondary cardholders of a Scotiabank retail credit card, including those that switch from an existing Scotiabank retail credit card
  • Previous primary or secondary cardholders of a Scotiabank retail credit card in the past 2 years
Datapoints reported in other communities (RFD, churningcanada subreddit) indicate that the terms are not enforced by Scotia's software/systems

Any datapoints on receiving bonvoy night certificate on spouses account? I.e. all of our bonvoy cards are linked to my bonvoy account. After 1 year and renewal, will I get 4 night certs for 2 personal and 2 business cards?

I believe that's against their terms, so you should start by hoping they don't close your account.

Yup - relinked to our own accounts since bonvoy points are relatively liquid.

My wife and I both got the $60 off $300 Marriott on our Canadian Amex cards. Does anyone know of Marriott properties in the Vancouver area that sell gift cards?

per the offer T&C "Offer only valid on room rate and room charges" so i am also curious if gift cards would work despite this.

They always print that, but gift cards have always worked if purchased at a property (i.e., not online). They have no way to distinguish the charges.

Applied for the RBC BA Visa Infinite. Approved Sept 20th but didn't receive the card for a month so wasn't activated until Oct 20th.
Never had such a delay but anyways.

Question is; does the $5000 min in "first 3 months" have to be within the first 3 months of card approval or activation?
Really don't want to miss the bonus...

I have called to determine what date they record in their system. They've told me the date by which my minimum spend must be complete.

Fixed points is an option on Cobalt.
On multiple occasions, I have booked fixed point fares, on Amex Travel, using my Cobalt account, and received much better than 1000=$10 value.

You would have to spend $10k on the card within three months to get half of the bonus. That’s too much in my humble opinion.
