Common, I had to call in to add my BW number too as there was no place to input it during the application. Expect the remaining 40k after the 3rd statement

If I cancel my BW card today and re-apply, let's say next month, will I still get the 40k points welcome bonus? I am unsure of how long I must wait.

There have been mixed experiences, I'm sure, but re-opening in a month will likely result in MBNA re-opening your old account. You would receive no bonus in that scenario.

Most people re-apply after 6 months, I think (I usually wait longer). Some re-apply as soon as 3 months.

Thank you. Perhaps I will try 3 months then, it's kind of urgent. I kind of want to apply for a new BW card, cancel my AS card, and then apply for another BW card (holding 2). Hopefully that is possible.

i kind of doubt it, but i really don't know. they recently cracked down on holding multiple AS cards. i just cancelled my last two a few months ago and looking to apply for a new one later this year.

Just apply for another BW card (you can still hold multiple concurrently and receive multiple bonuses).

How long before AS points expire btw? I have 25k, but that's not enough for a single flight. Perhaps I will apply again next year so I can at least reach 50k but I don't know..

What are you looking to redeem for? 25K is enough for a Y flight within NA.

Has anyone had the following experience with the MBNA Best Western MasterCard?

This is my MBNA activity:
Date Description Item Points Transferred
08/16/2016 Points Transfer Transfer 156
07/18/2016 Points Transfer Transfer -3,893
06/16/2016 Points Transfer Transfer -20,003

My Best Western account only shows the 156 points received. Why are the other amounts in negative figures and not received?

RBC Cathay Pacific card is now offering 30k Asia Miles. 15K upon approval and 15k after spending $7500 in three months. $120 annual fee.

No thanks.

Ya, I'll pass too.

Has RBC ever offered any of their travel cards first year free?

Not officially or in any visible promotion that I can recall. they were willing to waive first year fee back when CIBC and TD were carving up the Aeroplan portfolio.
