No one said do not ask questions, part of being new to a community is doing your own research by reading and learning about the different topics. Some if not all of your questions could be easily answered by using the search function on this site and/or a quick google search. This is off topic from the Club Carlson promotion being discussed so let's bring this to a close.

They matched me to CC Gold when I sent them a screenshot of my LeClub (Accor) account showing Platinum.

I emailed them at [email protected] last Thursday and they just got back to me today. So you might want to try the other email someone mentioned above in the thread.

is this club carlson ?

Was looking for any radisons or country inn and suits hotel in BUFFALO NY but only found this closest (6) miles and am not sure if it is even a club carlson hotel cos it says soon to be joining club carlson Country Inn & Suites By Carlson, Buffalo South I-90, NY
164b Slade Avenue, West Seneca, NY 14224 | 716-259-8520
Soon to be joining Country Inn & Suites By Carlson .

you think if i book a stay here paid with card, i will get the 44k points?

another question is, if my wife stays more than 1 night at any of the same country inn hotel, can i book each night separately for her using both of our club carlson membership? so that way we might get 44k points each?

for may 22nd, i book a night thru my club carlson for her (her name in booking)
and may 23rd, book the room thru my wife's CC account for herself?
does it work like airline mile account where you can book for someone else?
thanks

Regarding eligible rates--

Can I assume the Best Available rate (i.e. the NON Carlson DoubleGold rate) is a rate that qualifies? Best Available is about 10 beans less than the DoubleGold rate and, as discussed previously, isn't necessarily a great deal. Can't see anything in the T & C saying otherwise.

EDIT: (slap upside the head)....answer to my own question and a darn good resource for many answers... http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/club-...-1st-post.html

Interesting. I keep trying to find the lowest rate at my local Radisson and this has happened twice now.

I'll book a refundable AAA rate. Then I search for the exact same dates, and a cheaper AAA rate is being advertised. So I book that then cancel the old one. If only it kep working for me!

Yes, use the other email address [email protected] not the goldpointsplus email address. I used the gold points email last week and still no reply. However, I emailed the CCare email yesterday and they had me and my wife status matched to Silver within 15 minutes! I submitted Hilton Gold...

[Just been informed that new email addy is [email protected]]

I emailed that address last night with a photo of my Hilton Gold card. Hopefully I get upgraded soon. I wonder if they're getting slammed from FTers requesting status matching...

Now for the hard part.

I can't see that I will be near a Radisson anytime during the promotion, except for a trip to Niagara Falls with the family. Already have a falls view room reserved at Embassy Suites, which looks very nice, but the Radisson is much cheaper. All of these complex decisions.

Just to confirm the Park Inn promo has not gone live right?

Also do cash + points normally earn points? In the last promo I thought I saw t&c that said such points are not eligible, however I don't see any such t&c now. are these rates valid for the promo?

Correct, Park Inn has not gone live yet.

Points + cash WILL be eligible. I actually just confirmed that this morning with Radisson via Twitter - https://twitter.com/#!/Radisson/stat...74090023575552

Recently Club Carlson had a promo refunding 9K points per reward stay.

So a one-night Cat. 1 reward stay earned 100% back. My brother did about 3 of them.

I'm not sure, some Hotel groups start the first level at Silver and others Start at Gold. Example with airlines, AA Gold is 25,000 miles and Delta Silver is 25,000 miles. So they maybe matching what they see as equals?
