Where has it been reported that it posted in less than 1 billing cycle? I think you are referring to the United promo which is a different offer with a different posting time. I just did the Delta offer and it took a month and a half. If you have not had your account open for 2 months, then you're worrying over nothing.

In Feb, I received AA miles within 4 days of starting Netflix. This was for my wife using a 2500 miles offer.
In March, I started the service in my name. Used the 3K link from this thread. Miles are yet to post :-(.
The first one was a link from points.com. Maybe that made the difference...

Oof. Looks like they downgraded it to 1500.
Even doing a google search for 3000 AA Netflix brings up this link with the following text:

The post date is the date they show up in your account, not the signup date. The post date does not show up for AA, only the signup date. DL for example shows both the post date and the activity date on your account statement.
