Wow -- you must have a 'healthy' cash flow & credit needs to support that many cards!

Very very long.

Chase does keep very good records on bonuses, as old as 2004 on a denial of UA bonus I came to know.

It also does not pay to trigger the flag - the infamous denial reason from Chase because rapid open / close accounts - "Unsatisfactory relationship", meaning you are banned from future Chase accounts for unforeseeable future.

Far better to keep the cards for enough time till the annual fee come due. Then wait for a year or 2 before trying again.

Hotel free certificates are from hotels, not from Chase. Marriott is known to NOT issue a 2nd cert despite years have lapsed from the 1st bonus. Hyatt card is too new and most cardholders are loyal Hyatt customers so there is not much information available.

You have much better chance to stay on the good side of Chase and wait for DIFFERENT type of promotions to come along. Historically, Chase is good in honoring DIFFERENT type of bonus if the card is a different version from previous offer.

Rental Car coverage is PRIMARY

International rentals the CC coverage is Primary while your own car policy covers NOTHING.

I know for a fact and the "Guide to Benefits" says so that rental car coverage is Primary even for domestic car rentals. This is why I like using this card for car rentals.

For benefit questions call 1-800-419-8027.

Below are directly taken from the "Guide to Benefits" that came with the card.

"What Type of Coverage is this?"

Auto Rental CDW is primary coverage. In other words, you do not have to claim payment from any source of insurance before receiving coverage under this benefit.

You got me to dig up mine to check it out.

You are RIGHT. The OnePass Plus Card offers Primary coverage!

Though the language is slightly different - from the Fine Print:

"This benefit is primary and provides reimbursement up to the actual cash value of the vehicle as it was originally manufactured."

On top of that, the excluded countries do not have NZ and Australia, plus Italy on it!

It only excludes Israel, Jamaica, Ireland and Northern Ireland. This is a big improvement than other cards!

Glad you bring this up. I have not paid close attention to this! I need to call the Benefit Administrator to find out if Authorized cardholder would also enjoy the same coverage as well. From previous dealing with MasterRental, authorized cardholder enjoyed the same benefits.

The Primary coverage would make the annual fee more palatable, plus the annual package upon renewal.

Now I hope Chase makes it 0% forex fee like the BA card.
