I'm planning on taking advantage of this offer by cycling 15K. 've read the last 10 pages of posts, but I'm still not sure where the funds have to originate from.
Can I push money out of my bank account, or do I have to pull it out using fidelity?

So I moved our future house-purchase nest egg into Fidelity to get the points last week. This week I went and met with one of their advisors at the local office to take advantage of their planning and see what they had to offer.
During the meeting he totalled up our assets with other houses (E*Trade and AmeriTrade) as part of the planning. Fine, helped with doing the charts etc.
Later in the session he explained how he thought it would be advantageous to consolidate all our money with Fidelity. Being pretty obvious that the real motive is to get the REST of our money under their roof, I brought up the miles thing that I only moved X dollars due to the limits of the offer. He mentioned he could get more miles to move the rest of it.
So there is some latitude to negotiate more miles than the offer has. YMMV.

from whatever source you wish (bank, credit card cash advance, send in a check, etc). The "source" is not the focus here. The important part is your account end up having a total of $100,000 in deposits made (NOT the same as net total of $100,000 in account) or a cumulative total of deposit transactions totaling $100,000.

That's the way it's been for years. No guarantees, of course, since the terms indicate otherwise. But it's worked for pretty much everyone that way.

Waiting on 35K from UA. Wishing I'd waited to sign up for Delta so I could remove the trace of doubt that I've screwed this up!

hi guys.im planning to take up fidelity with this offer. now i have about 75k stashed in a bank that i could move around.im just trying to understand this basically
1. i could apply for the AA acct and then initially deposit 25k to get the 15k miles then
2. put another 25k totalling 50k in fidelity so i could get another 25k miles so a total of 15k+25k= 40k miles
3. then put another 50k total of 100k in fidelity so i could get the final batch of miles which is 50k aa miles then
4. use the application with the delta miles and wait for miles to post?
also 1 more question.since i dont have 100k saved ryt now are you saying that the 100k is just the deposited ammount not the actuall sum thats in fidelity so meaning i could deposit 60k today and then withdraw 50k leaving 10k in fidelity then deposit 40k which makes it 100k deposit(60k+40k) but truthfully having only 50k inside fidelity..?
sorry if its confusing just reading from this thread brought up a bunch of questions hehehe!thanks in adnvance guys!
