There's probably not enough time left, but playing around with the mileage converter tool on www.webflyer.com, it seems like one could potentially convert miles from, say CO via Choice Hotels, which would result in 50k CO miles becoming 40k AA miles. Not a horrible conversion rate...usually 50 becomes 30, but with a 35 percent kick it's 40.

The rate limit here is Amtrak. You can't do it at all without status or credit card.
The max is 25k/yr with the chase card, 50k with the Select Plus status. I need to take a few rides first.

I transferred MR points into my wife's AA account. Did the transfer on either Friday or Saturday (can't remember which) and they posted on Monday. You'll be fine.

How long does it take for the bonus miles to post?
I transferred 20k SPG points 2 weeks ago.
Last week, 25k showed up on my AA account but till today still no sign of the extra 35% bonus miles.
Any ideas?

I expect that most of those in your kind of situation currently -- myself included -- will see the bonus 35% post before the coming Sunday is over.

I think the SPGs will post in 2 days (my last few have not posted) and the bonuses will post 1 week later.

Still waiting on the bonus

Base converted miles posted today, just like last Sunday, but still no bonus miles on conversions from the 20th forward.

As stated above, converted my soon to be expired SPG points more than 10 days ago ... I just spoke to AA rep and she said the bonus points should post 6-8 weeks after the promotion has ended!!! So I would worry if they did not post by August 15-30.

Interestingly enough, right now, the aadvantage main page still has a link on the side that states "Earn bonus miles for hotel points conversions".

It goes to the main hotel page. I assume that the bonus points offer is dead, but this makes it unclear.

I just missed out on this deal -- does anyone know how often it comes around? Once a year? Twice a year?

Bonus from 6/20 posted

Bonus miles from a 6/20 transfer were in my account this morning. Still waiting on other bonus postings, but happy about the progress.

Unprecedented.

My final bonuses posted this morning, 7 business days after the post date, as promised.
