To qualify for this AAdvantage® bonus mile offer, member must complete AAdvantage mileage conversions with eligible AAdvantage program hotel participants between 12:00 am CDT June 14, 2010 and 11:59 pm CDT June 30, 2010 (the “Promotion Period”), and be in good standing in the AAdvantage program. Members cannot combine AAdvantage mileage conversions from the same or multiple eligible AAdvantage program hotel participants to earn the bonus miles.
To earn the 25% conversion bonus, member must convert points from eligible AAdvantage program hotel participants that result in 1,000 - 20,000 AAdvantage miles within the Promotion Period. To earn the 35% conversion bonus, member must convert points from eligible AAdvantage program hotel participants that equate to 20,001 or more AAdvantage miles within the Promotion Period. Conversions for hotel and air packages from eligible AAdvantage hotel participants are excluded from this offer. This offer is non-transferable and non-reversible.
Bonus miles will be posted by American Airlines to the qualifying AAdvantage member's account within 7 business days after the initial conversion activity has been posted by the eligible hotel program participant. Bonus miles earned in this promotion do not count toward elite status qualification.

According to this thread:
http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/starw...june-30-a.html
you get the 35% on top of the 25%. The reasoning there is that AA only sees the final amount from SPG - not the itemization.
I'm going all in!

Just remember you can only transfer 60k max per transfer to get all the bonus miles. If you want to move 140k be sure to break it up into smaller transfers every 24 hours (60k, 40k, 40k would work.)

Hyatts conversion rate was a little borderline considering what you get for 50k GP points... but now after the davluation of some of my favourite properties and this 35% bonus it was due to cash out big time ! ^

WOW!
I am gold for life working on Platinum for life. Are we sure this wont go towards that?
Also, sitting with Million or Membership Rewards and want to transfer to a hotel program and then to AA, any suggestions on the best conversions?

The T&C say:
Bonus miles will be posted by American Airlines to the qualifying AAdvantage member's account within 7 business days after the initial conversion activity has been posted by the eligible hotel program participant. Bonus miles earned in this promotion do not count toward elite status qualification.
Does this mean they don't count toward lifetime status?
If so, it seems sending 60k for 101.25k seems like a no brainer. Not really going to do better than that for AA miles I don't think.
Maybe with the relationship with Marriott ending we'll see other promos like this one.
