Do not call the airlines under any conditions! This is the fastest way to kill the trick and bring unwanted attention to your itinerary! And do not post precious deals in this thread, this is by far the fastest way to kill the trick!

************************************************** ******
This is NOT the right place to ask: "Can you help me with a low fare for AAA-BBB?" This is not the beg-it thread, but the trick-it thread.

This thread deals with unique combinations of routes and booking tricks in order to lower prices on airline fares. Prices that would astound the general public are often achieved by the posters in this thread.

Many people, including airline representatives, monitor this thread. For that reason, it is unorganized, very content heavy, often lacking details, and written in shorthand. It takes patience and effort in order to understand the conversation and be able to participate as an active member.

We encourage you to read the entirety of this thread if you would like to get started and to experiment as soon as you understand the gist of Trick It. Lots of time spent reading, practicing, and learning is the only way to be able to reproduce our tricks and discover new ones yourself. There are many, many people who ask for advice here, so productive members are only able to help those who have shown a concerted effort and progress over a long period of time (months).

If you have no idea what this thread is about, a good place to start are various blogs' posts on the subject. At the very least, read the Rules for posting in this thread. They're also listed in the very first post, below.

Older portions of the thread have been separated into archive thread by year. They are listed below

Hello!!

This is my first post and for sure not the last one. I've been into this world for a while, but wasn't using any trick until very recently. Here's what I found for my next flight:

MAD-GIG GRU-MAD, via JFK both times, 850€
MAD-JFK-GIG GRU-JFK-MAD, booked as 4 legs and with a 3 day stopover in NYC on our way back, 530€

Is this fuel dumping or a different trick?

Also, there are very cheap flights BCN-PTY with IB in September, for less than 400€. There's a 265€ YQ. Any idea on how to dump that?

Thank you!!

Thank you! Anyways I got the MAD tickets a while ago; I think it is a great deal specially considerig the dates. I was wondering if what lowered the price was fuel dumping, as I've read that due to a publication by a popular website fuel dumping ended some years ago.

The $680 Business Class Base fares out of the Delta hubs seem particularly delicious. $850 YQ, although I am only able to cut it a small bit with a 3x. Anyone else have good luck?

Same, the key is the fare of 3x being business and all

FD possible from c1n-w/mw for c2?

I am fairly new here, and reading the replies to other people like me here, I haven't earned my wings yet so I will understand if the veterans of this thread choose not to respond but I would try asking the question anyway. Considering the dismal international airline scene we have in c1n-mw, I am wondering if it's possible to FD from here or from c1n-w for c2 flights? I have been trying to find a 3x or OJ in vein for CDG and around in july-august timeframe. Much thanks in advance!

I was afraid of that. Thank you for taking the time to answer. I will continue to search by expanding the origin down south. That should get me some better options although the cost with positioning flights or drive remains to be seen. Thanks again!

Update on my first FD post..

The same airline has recently released new low BFs for their C2-C1 route.. The desserts still only work for a specific Fare Code but there's high availability spanning several months from multiple C2 airports!! Thanks go to Ollhelm for making me aware of the new lower BF on this route

The original C2-C3e flights are also still available from £160~ on certain OTAs or £149~ OTA specific with special CC, possibly lower with different OJ + Dessert combinations... Enjoy!!

Yes, many dumps are available. No PMs please.
I'm just writing this so you know you can actually start searching for FDs on this route.

Thank you for the reply. I am continuing the search and have so far found only one OJ with 3x but that gave me FD of mere CA$25.40, so not worth it.
