- At more than 5 weeks after most of us booked this fare it looks increasingly likely that the fare will stick. However prudence is still advisable and we should all avoid contacting the booking agent and if essential to contact try to deal with the airline direct.
- Check that your original itenary is intact and ticketed as PAL revised their LHR flight schedule in early September and there appear to now only be 5 flights a week now rather than daily. Use TripCase to do this - see post #114 on how to do this (thanks to @MyFlights App). If you have incurred an involuntary change you can contact PAL and they will permit one change to amend your itenary. They appear to be flexible to shift flights to adjacent days, but if you try to push to be rerouted on another carrier to maintain the original itenary times you might find your flights are cancelled and you end up with a refund.
- Online seat assignments are not possible on PAL when booked through a 3rd party, you have to call up, it is best to call PAL on 0808 164 9888 rather than the booking agent.
- Whilst it looks like the fare is going to stick be aware that making other travel arrangements around this booking are at your own risk so consider making bookings that are refundable or covered by insurance if needed.

[PREM FARE GONE] Philippine Airlines, LHR-HKG, £500 J return

I've forwarded my confirmation to tripcase - but I suspect that this is just reading the content of the email rather than parsing the PNR and retriving the flight details from the airline systems. The seat map is indicative of this - it's the seat map based upon the flight number and date, but why is it showing the Y cabin as available if it's a J ticket?

It's weird to work out what's going on.
Checkmytrip brings up a seat map of both J and Y.
Tripcase only Y.
Both checkmytrip and tripcase are listing the aircraft as 777-300 yet doing a dummy booking on philippineairlines.com shows an A350 (Jan travel).
I've received a ticket number from lastminute.com but not an actual copy of e-ticket so cannot find the fare code/farebasis.

I've tried forwarding the email to TripCase - it's showing no documents there, and just the basic info from the email (and derived info for the flight number). Parsed emails are nothing more than just laying out the info in the email in a different way, and adding some publicly available flight information (rather than being a link to your booking)

In my case, using the first PNR in confirmation email, TripCase could collect all the info and under the document section I was able to download the ticket receipt
Not - hoping the ticket won't be cancelled - I've few months to find out how to pre-assign seats

Thats exactly what I've been able to do with my booking, I think the only way to assign seats is by calling the airline, I might leave that for sometime

And no, as said multiple time in this thread, you can't pull the reservation on PAL website.
The only tool that seems to work so far is TripCase

OK.... I've found the best way to get at the actual booking.
1) Sign up to TripCase if you haven't already
2) Under "My Trips" click "Create New Trip". Do *not* forward your booking confirmation
3) Give your trip a name "flash sale" and create the trip
4) Then click on Link a booking
5) Enter the first PNR listed in the email from lastminute.com
Now if you go into Documents you'll see the E Tickets and you can see the full fare basis etc.

Piece of mind to be able to view a proper e-ticket.

OK, so its showing a ‘Z’ class fare which with PR is a Business Class ‘Promo’ fare. So let’s see how it plays out.
