Here is an article that covers their procedure. Rewarding the masses with a few peso's for outing FD's that really need to be subdued or they will all be undone in short order. IMHO.

UA has very low basefare from yyz to cdg only 130 each way
say Jan 1 yyz to cdg
Apr 30 cdg to yyz

now UA prices 900 with 500 YQ. just want to confirm if FD is possible on this route and UA flights? PM welcome.

Thanks!

I stand in awe.

With 3x's found with ITA radii searches, I can get down to $761, which is just over half-fat + the cost of the 3x. What am I missing?

I have no idea. But in a post from January, an SFO-based FT'er said he was told in Tokyo his ticket was no good when he was about to board his return flight. I think he bought another ticket to get home, and he later successfully got reimbursed from the North America-based carrier he was ticketed on.

Something about regulations that forbid US-based airlines from changing ticket prices after ticketing. I can't find the original post to link to.

So a US-based flyer with a credit card with enough limit for a walk-up ticket purchase, and the patience to do battle with the US-based airline that cancelled him -- is going to come out alright?
