EDIT: out of WAW, on a different alliance you might get to the same place for 212€ using just a 3x.

very complicated this trick-it-thread really, newbies have hardly no chance of understanding the greek you guys are using. the Canals to the Strait deal was somewhat clear (if you manage to find a 1X or 3X, which is not my case yet), but the rest could be Chinese or Greek to a lot of us. We can choose between the two.

So is flying C1-C2 for $155 RT ai. It is a simple effort/reward calculation. If you want to save $50 on your next flight to LON, PM me, If you want to save $500 per flight, read the darn thing and prepare to spend 100+ hours on it

I'm curious about this as well. I've decoded a good number of 3x's, but as the best deals are seeming to be booking-engine dependent, my successes have decreased. Would greatly appreciate any hints about booking engines (even hints requiring decoding), either here or via PM!

^Seems the best deals thus far have been using a 1X which of course before anyone asks has to be flown in order for the desired effect to occur.

Of course i'm not as adept at the game as many and i've developed a list of workable 3X's which should be tip #1 for any newbie...take notes and lots of them...but from what i've been reading as of late there appears to be a greater number of 1X's in play, no?

Again, i'm not one of the fortunate few who have the time (at the moment) to spend hours upon hours tolling through various combinations but i've definitly learned to pay attention to the principles which make the working combos that I know effective. Tip #2 would be to pay attention to the why and how of the basic (and in some cases no longer fully effective) 3X's in order to better build on tip #1.

Those C1-C2 spring fares look amazing so thats my focus at the moment as/when i can get online and play around.

Keep the good ones coming guys/gals as there is never a shortage of entertainment and knowledge to be had on here....even if it is 16k posts long ^

Learn about the systems you're using, experiment wildly, be methodical, take good notes, and reflect on what you find for underlying principles. The same approaches that brought success on ITA do so elsewhere. I wonder with some of these posts if people are taking to heart jteezy's post from awhile back on what is available. Being systematic doesn't just mean running brute force ITA searches. These new deals are incredible, but if you've been thorough you should already have a number of C1-C2 and C2-C1 rt's in the $270-330 range (no 1x needed)
