What dates were available? How far into the future were you able to book?

Yes, i pulled up the fare inn Amadeus and stop-over in ADD was no problem.
Saw the fare available at least till the end of 2017...

Would be interesting to see if people will be flying this in C though, i'm guessing ET will downgrade to Y....
Any thoughts ?

Interesting. A shame I missed this one then :/
Did anyone see possible bookings into 2018?

If it will be honored is a wild guess.
For the BRU-JNB fare passengers were downgraded/compensated.
For the KUL-BKK fare some passengers have reported no problems, some have been denied lounge access and some have been denied flying.
For the OSL-JNB (and others ex-OSL) fare, which was even cheaper than this one, passengers have just started flying (the route opened 2 days ago), and no problems reported yet.

I booked a Feb 2018 flight with a 3 day stopover in ADD.

I believe the gentleman who was denied a flight from BKK-KUL was actually not a clear statement. He was denied a transfer to another flight due to a 6-8 hour delay and therefore he bought another ticket on another carrier. ET honoured all the tickets.

Anyway - ET has a great product up front except for the ADD airport nightmare. I took advantage of the KUL-BKK flight "promotion" and I now have no qualms whatsoever with flying Ethiopian Airlines. I especially loved the service and friendly flight attendants. The coffee was great too!

Someone I know personally took up the kul-bkk-kul offer, was sent an email that it was an error fare and is to be downgraded to Y.

Since there seems to be a technical stop in DUB from ADD to YYZ, does EU 261 apply?

When do we know if we get to fly? Haha. I booked the flight and will be visiting Montreal and Quebec in December. Not sure if the decision is sane! Also looking forward to the long layover to visit the capital and enjoy some coffee!

With valid ticketed bookings, yes, at least for DUB-YYZ.

Not true, 261/2004 applies to all flights operated by any airline from any EU airport and here ADD is departure point, not DUB

Can someone help creating a wiki section to start summarizing cancellation cases for this thread?

Something weird is happening with my ticket.

Status changed from "OK TO FLY" to "Confirmed" on tripcase, and the options to change/cancel are 'no longer eligible' on ET's site.

Anyone else notice this?

As of 12 noon ET March 30, mine is still ok on ET.com and tripcase. I booked about 5 hrs after my buddy.
