I got in two nested itin's:

ORD-GIG in Y
GIG-DFW-HKG in J

HKG-DFW-GIG in J
GIG-ORD in Y

Waiting to see if my card is charged or tickets cancelled. I won't be upset either way but here's to hoping!

And with that I'm off to bed. See you all tomorrow!

Ticket still pending. Anyone has had any luck yet? Not an option for me, but if these are indeed manual, wouldn't it make more sense to try and get it ticketed locally in Brazil?

Oddly enough, I checked this morning and my domestic hold disappeared... But the other two are still there. Any ideas why?

If any dates overlap, the holds or tickets can be canceled under normal circumstances. Of course, they could also cancel the holds if it was a mistake they did not want to honor.

You're not in until the tickets are issued

I was saying im in in the Issue. I think we have 50-50 chances. They may be in a meeting thinking which cost more, issue the tickets or Brazil and Chile lawsuit.

I wonder if an airport ticket counter agent could issue a pending ticket?

VERY interesting, though I'd put that in the "don't call the airlines." Especially at this point when AA is SOOOO knowledgeable of the mistake.

Speaking of which, I heard the following from an inside source:

1) All tickets that actually were ticketed WILL be honored
2) All "pending" tickets will NOT be honored

Thanks to the DOT rules, I don't suspect they will be much help for those of us who get our pending tickets cancelled. Oh well - especially because they were never actually ticketed.

2 of my 7 just ticketed! Woohoo!!

AA also replied (in Portuguese) on their twitter that they are honoring the fares.. I think the fact that they replied in Portuguese means only the ex-brazil fares are going to be honored.

Congrats! Good luck on the other 5.

Here's to hoping that they honor the ex-US tickets as well!

Do you expect to collect AA miles? See below from AAdvantage T&C:

Certain airline tickets are not eligible for earning mileage credit. These include, without limitation, the following: all tickets issued as AAdvantage awards or other free ticket promotions including free or reduced rate tickets; companion tickets; charter flight tickets; travel agency/industry reduced rate tickets; infant tickets; items occupying a purchased seat; unpublished fare tickets, including consolidator fares, tickets issued as a result of a fare published inadvertently or by mistake and tickets issued subject to special provisions.

AS is obviously a good alternative to credit to

Seeing a lot of responses in English now as well, though some seem to be contradictory:

American Airlines ‏@AmericanAir 20m20 minutes ago
@chintanshah123 American Airlines will honor mispriced fares that were booked yesterday in select international markets.

@AmericanAir in wich selected international markets are you going to honor the mispriced fares?, is Chile included?
American Airlines ‏@AmericanAir 2m2 minutes ago
@andrescorreali We're honoring all fares that were booked yesterday.

Hopefully the latter is true...
