DO NOT CALL THE AIRLINE

Availability

From: FCO/MXP, BCN/MAD, OTP, MLA, IST (although I couldn't get the OTP origin to ticket)

Via: SIN/PEK

To: SEA/PDX/SLC/LAX/ATL/EWR/JFK/SJU (probably others)

Routing: AUH between Europe and Asia. NRT (and optionally HNL) between Asia and North America.

Interesting options: Some city combinations will book into T fares on AZ for a few dollars more, which will earn 100% on Flying Blue. AS has confirmed booking date will not be taken into consideration for mileage credit. DL V fare will earn 50% for 2015 travel. AS metal may be available on HNL-North America segments (if you choose to route via HNL).

Booking Engines: Orbitz, Priceline and others. Depending on the flights, Google Flights and Hipmunk are not showing these fares.

And remember, DO NOT CALL THE AIRLINE

Is there any chance to find a flight wich is not DL operated? EY is fine FCO-SIN.. but SIN-USA in DL in eco is really a pain. Any codeshares available?

I see some require a airport change NRT/HND

Was somebody able to book a stopover in AUH?

See Keitherson post for codeshares intra Asia. Replicate in ITA and you will find many options.

I have a 16h layover in AUH but do you really want to spend more than just a day in AUH at 50° C?

Still there. FCO-AUH-SIN-NRT-JFK (only the AUH-SIN wouldn't earn on DL presumably). $440 in May.

I would advise against terminating in SJU/STT, unless you live there, are outside the US, or intend to make a trip out of it. The cost of the return flight back home would cancel out any extra mileage earned.

Beginning to see fares glitch at the final stage in Priceline so please book quickly as they could be fixing it. just a heads up. some are fares i booked just an hour ago. On Orbitz, some dates I booked cheaply have also gone up substantially in fare, though no error.

I realize the latter could be attributed to fare buckets flling up as I still do not see YQ.

Can anyone comment on why this works as a self dump?

Stopovers

Also please post if you have been able to force any stopovers in addition so SIN as I have had no such luck. Though all tickets have been issuing rather quickly so far.

EDIT: Scratch that, Big O has been issuing all within minutes, still waiting on Priceline bookings from the past hour. May be worth booking on both just in case one is pulled (priceline ticketing may have been).

Mine is ticketed now but took almost 2 hours on the big O. Quite sure this is related to the fact that my first leg is VCE-AUH on AZ metal. Perhaps not a bad idea for those who whant to book to avoid this flight, just to have a faster ticketing.

When's the last time anyone found this fare? I can't get it on any of the sites (except ITA)....has it been pulled across the board?

IST replaces FCO...

I just booked FCO>AUH>SIN>SFO for $424, This is already showing up in my DL account. Noticed IST in place of FCO is only $572. June 23 - July 21 The IST flight actually begins on Alitalia - I wonder if this makes any difference with regard to mileage accrual?

OK just booked for May! VCE-AUH-SIN, SIN-NRT-JFK, $360.

Try VCE rather than FCO, seems to have better availability.

I needed a one-way from Europe to the US then, so I don't need to even position. This is cheaper than normal transAtlantic one-way would have been, so I'm leaping for joy!
