DO NOT CALL THE AIRLINE

Availability

From: FCO/MXP, BCN/MAD, OTP, MLA, IST (although I couldn't get the OTP origin to ticket)

Via: SIN/PEK

To: SEA/PDX/SLC/LAX/ATL/EWR/JFK/SJU (probably others)

Routing: AUH between Europe and Asia. NRT (and optionally HNL) between Asia and North America.

Interesting options: Some city combinations will book into T fares on AZ for a few dollars more, which will earn 100% on Flying Blue. AS has confirmed booking date will not be taken into consideration for mileage credit. DL V fare will earn 50% for 2015 travel. AS metal may be available on HNL-North America segments (if you choose to route via HNL).

Booking Engines: Orbitz, Priceline and others. Depending on the flights, Google Flights and Hipmunk are not showing these fares.

And remember, DO NOT CALL THE AIRLINE

I wish I knew what the RDM situation would be for 2015 on partner flights. This is a great deal as for as CPM for MQM but it would be an amazing deal if there was somehow a loophole on the mileage versus the $ spent on the Alitalia portion.

Correct. This entire itin. would be tough to credit to just one ff program. As stated, no DL since it is Etihad operating, AZ O class gives a small percentage in MilleMiglia, while AS will only be good for Sin-USA portion.

It's basically Italy-Singapore-USA. Open cities, open dates. Try not to book out all the cheap fare buckets from the same city pairs, people

Aww, was able to find perfect dates to match up with the RTW to Europe/Asia for under $400, but I already booked all flights/hotels already.

Flight is pending government approval.

What Italy-Abu Dhabi routes are currently being sold but not yet finalized?

EDIT: It looks like a stopover in Abu Dhabi is also permitted. Has anyone been able to price this through?

Not seeing anything cheap in 2014 and am not going to MR for this in 2015 (DL isn't worth it IMO).

308E March 4-11, FCO-SIN/SIN-EWR was the best I found.

It's also a FD

Just can't pull trigger, that Etihad 6k-7k miles minimum is no good for me plus the cost of a positioning flight from USA and return flight to hometown.

A couple of way to maximize points

1) 2k or 5k MilleMiglia https://mm.alitalia.com/EN_EN/mm/reg...ew.aspx?cod=20

2) Air France Promo for 50% off so 12,500 one way for positioning flight

3) Pray AS earning isn't changed on Delta, if taking flights next year

Delta has not released its partner earn chart yet. Given that this is ticketed on non-Delta stock, there's a chance it could earn 100% on Delta. Or not. It's up in the air, but I expect a devaluation to not exceed 50% if they are going to cut back on discount economy mileage accrual.
