DO NOT CALL THE AIRLINE

Availability

From: FCO/MXP, BCN/MAD, OTP, MLA, IST (although I couldn't get the OTP origin to ticket)

Via: SIN/PEK

To: SEA/PDX/SLC/LAX/ATL/EWR/JFK/SJU (probably others)

Routing: AUH between Europe and Asia. NRT (and optionally HNL) between Asia and North America.

Interesting options: Some city combinations will book into T fares on AZ for a few dollars more, which will earn 100% on Flying Blue. AS has confirmed booking date will not be taken into consideration for mileage credit. DL V fare will earn 50% for 2015 travel. AS metal may be available on HNL-North America segments (if you choose to route via HNL).

Booking Engines: Orbitz, Priceline and others. Depending on the flights, Google Flights and Hipmunk are not showing these fares.

And remember, DO NOT CALL THE AIRLINE

Alitalia revenue management must be sleeping because this has been live for over 24 hours

Update: I got the Orbitz confirmation. So I'm good to go unless I cancel!
I can see the full itinerary on the Delta app. It will not let me select seats for the VCE-AUH-SIN part though.

That or no one has called in to book (which is good we're following rules)! A few price rises here and there, but nothing substantial.

1 APR - 5 APR, VCE-SIN-LAX is 532USD now. A steep rise from the 385.30USD I booked earlier. My first RTW trip is a Spring break one too!

You guys are slow. I booked this two days ago.

Anyone who admits to calling about seat assignment should have their account suspended!

The deal might be well dead now considering there have been one, maybe two calls in to the airlines. At best the ones you'll book might be just over 500 USD. Consider Orbitz (Cheaptickets) or other OTAs. That's the only glimmer of hope, keep trying since that's what I did around 13:00 EST.

Otherwise the candles are starting to burn out... while a new fire may be brewing on this thread.

They might be pulling the cheap inventory. Don't think they realize how pervasive the problem is with the fares filed.

Question about a booked ticket, if it shows up on delta.com, then does that mean its confirmed? And everything is good?
I tried picking seats it said I can do it 24hrs after booking, didnt have that problem last night, picked my seats right away

I already booked one last night and need to cancel that one in 45 mins

My new ticket is vce-sin-atl-ric for $530 compare to old booking of
vce-sin-atl for $515

Still available as of a few minutes ago. Also, for those of you with AS status, Big O booked me on AS metal HNL-SEA, so at least that one should be available for upgrades.

Another option across the pond would be to go from BWI to CPH via KEF on (the oddly named) "WOW" -- Iceland's "most punctual airline" (copywriters were clearly struggling). Shows as $369.41 ow in June but various lower prices are listed. All a bit random and their website is a bit cranky. They promise service from BOS.
