DO NOT CALL THE AIRLINE

Availability

From: FCO/MXP, BCN/MAD, OTP, MLA, IST (although I couldn't get the OTP origin to ticket)

Via: SIN/PEK

To: SEA/PDX/SLC/LAX/ATL/EWR/JFK/SJU (probably others)

Routing: AUH between Europe and Asia. NRT (and optionally HNL) between Asia and North America.

Interesting options: Some city combinations will book into T fares on AZ for a few dollars more, which will earn 100% on Flying Blue. AS has confirmed booking date will not be taken into consideration for mileage credit. DL V fare will earn 50% for 2015 travel. AS metal may be available on HNL-North America segments (if you choose to route via HNL).

Booking Engines: Orbitz, Priceline and others. Depending on the flights, Google Flights and Hipmunk are not showing these fares.

And remember, DO NOT CALL THE AIRLINE

I guess my dates are the issue. Let's see if I can modify a little.

Found something but substantially more expensive!

I just booked from PL @ $410: Rome - Singapore - SFO, departing early June.

Any tips for the flight ticket from the States to Europe? I am thinking of departing either from HNL/LAX/SEA/SFO in late May.

Any cheap flight options to get back to the UK or indeed anywhere in Europe. I can see a great multi trip plan in the making.

Talking

I'm not booking this, but just a tip:

You could always book NYC - OSL one way with Norwegian for 141 to get back to europe (sample date for direct flight: April 16). Adding that to the price makes it still a pretty good deal for the mileage ex. Norwegian.

There's also a very good UA fare NYC-OSL running right now...

Booked VEN-SIN-IAH for the free 24h option.. however would REALLY like to change to PEK. I can't see PEK available as an midpoint option, any clues there?

Try VCE rather than FCO, seems to have better availability.

I needed a one-way from Europe to the US then, so I don't need to even position. This is cheaper than normal transAtlantic one-way would have been, so I'm leaping for joy!
What dates did you book? I couldn't find any

I still see a few 400$ fares, I'm not booking it though. It's a shame the positioning flight would run the overall costs too high (OW to FCO/MXP/VCE from US).

Also note some flights have Etihad for the first half, just keep your eyes peeled while booking.
