Yes, that was fun. Bought one but had a great time searching various combinations and seeing that fare come up. Christmas in June.

I am so sorry that you did not get to book it since it was your find. Unfortunately, the greeder bloggers have had this effect on many. Giving you a hat tip does not do anything for you.

I actually got this one, around cherry blossom time next year, decided to book BOS-WAS-NRT-ICN-SFO-BOS as it showed in RT search on UA.com and walk to the ticket counter in WAS and change NRT-ICN segment for a stopover in NRT on the way out.
Question, does this allow stopover in C1 the return? I'd love to pocket the SFO-BOS segment for later if possible.

I splurged on some fare locked itineraries, don't know yet which ones I want to take. As far as stopover go, I imagine you could force them with changes made after 1st segment (provided UA isn't to stingy about releasing A space afterwards).

It looks like once you have flown first segment you can change. But if it doesnt allow stopover in C1 (US) then I think the most you can do is add stopovers in Asia or tweak your routing. I booked a RT on the date I wanted to leave but didnt fiddle w stopovers or get bothered with Y segment NRT-ICN, figured I'll deal with them later...

Sorry you missed out but this seems to have been around for a few hours. I don't think this was a "mistake" fare but another one of UA's trolling for dollars similar to the very low European Biz fares that came out in April. UA likely set a specific target and thanks to the FF "community," that target was met. I wouldn't be surprised to see more of these deals in the future.

Got one with the wrong routing, but I plan on just crediting half to Aegean for lifetime gold. How do you credit segment by segment? When I hit update traveler info only shows FF # for the entire itinerary.
