As indicated in the thread title, this deal is now dead.

How do I manage my itinerary/check my booking/select seats?

Note that the displayed receipt will be incorrect ($5 higher than actual) owing to a programming error. The taxes/fees shown includes the original $5 WF booking fee. Do not worry about this; it does not change the amount you are actually billed.
How many miles will I earn on United from my flight?
Here's the UA master page listing airline partners. If you click on a partner logo, you'll see a page containing a chart showing the yield for flights taken on partner metal. (It even says explicitly that it's the metal that counts: "The award miles accrued on codeshare flights are based on the operating carrier and their equivalent fare class.")

MileagePlus (UA) earning charts for
Will I do better if I credit to another *A carrier instead?
Maybe.

Miles&More (LH, LX,...) earning charts for
  • United Airlines (UA) (K, L, T fares earn 50%, 25% for flights in 2014)
  • Lufthansa (LH) (K, L, T fares earn 50% for TATL flights in 2013, 25% for TATL flights in 2014)
  • Swiss (LX) (K, L, T fares earn 50% for TATL flights in 2013, 25% for TATL flights in 2014)
  • Air Canada (AC) (K, L, T fares earn 50% for TATL flights in 2013, 25% for TATL flights in 2014)

Here's the master list of partner earning charts for Aegean (A3) and here's the list for Turkish Airlines (TK).
Are there other FlyerTalk members flying when I am?
Quite possibly! There is a meetup thread on the CommunityBuzz forum. Post if you would like to participate.

You can find them but good luck getting to the payment page

Also, has anyone ever kept data on fat finger fares that the airlines have actually honored? Would be interesting to see how many are honored by which airlines/travel agencies. I'm not online enough to catch one yet, tried once with a Spanair ticket on US metal, but canceled. I wish I could get a notification for fares like these!

LHR-ORD-LHR booked 6:22pm EST, still pending [but well past midnight in LHR so hoping]
a) This is not a fat fingered fare. The fares have not been changed, the fares have not been altered today.

b) This is not a fare mistake. This is the fuel surcharge being forgotten, ever since airlines started with the YQ nonsense, there have been many instances of this happening.

b) This is not a United issue, they are not issuing tickets here, I have no idea what one would accomplish by contacting United?

matthewsoft, not getting ticketed is part of the risk of booking these fares. Please don't call anyone.

I remember low fares from back in the day when gas was still 99c per gallon. But $130 rt to Milan? That seems awfully low to not be some kind of mistake.

Its not a mistake! You need to read up on how international fares are constructed

Base fares on NYC-MXP have been at near ZERO for months now, ever since EK announced they are flying EWR-MXP.

The fares have actually been as low as $10 + fuel surcharge + tax

Currently the fares are at $35 RT + fuel surcharge + tax.

When the fuel surcharge is forgotton, the net result is $130 all in .

People who have been ticketed:

Do you get an email telling you that? Or did you just check checkmytrip.com?

Ok, I'm sorry for not using the correct terminology, and yes I know they are not issuing the tickets, but they have a lowest fare guarantee that if you find their flights on another web site cheaper, they will lower the fare that you bought with them. I would never call, and not advocating calling, but was simply curious if anyone ever did in the past, especially if the tickets are being refused, but the fare is still showing at a lower price. This is even coded as a UA flight, not a codeshare.

you should receive an email from "Wideroe Internet AS" with subject line "Receipt E ticket 701-xxxxxxx" where the x's are your eticket number. At that point you should also see a pending charge on your cc.

I checked united.com. It said ticketed and confirmed 30 minutes before I got the email from wideroe.
