Edit: I just checked the DL schedule. I was right. You left Monday 2/11 and arrived Wednesday 2/13.

It should be Dec 2-5, not Dec 2-4. Thanks for picking up the mistake! They should all be 3 days out and back.

This is fine BUT if you really want to do butt in seat MR run (not mine cup of java) I would do this within continental USA and Caribbean. I did SJU last year, going all over America but since I am diamond it was 98% in Business Class, actually it is like flying office; kind of cool after first 25,000 miles. Price wise it was better that this one.

Am interested, what have your routes been and what time of year as business class is far better than economy comfort!

I did BWI-JFK-MSP-SJU-SEA-SLC-LAX-ATL-SJU This is not the ordered list just the cities I was in. SJU is very popular MR available mainly during hurricane season (Aug/Sep). Tickets were around 220.00 USD plus Amex added 50.00 off promotion for any tickets with SJU in it. I was making shy of 6000 miles per run for less than 200.00. Did 10 of those...dont laugh...:)

Thanks for reply and info!

I didn't laugh only smiled and chuckled, that is awesome, was checking fares from SFO and SMF, nothing good, will look at different dates. Thanks for the info. Have a great weekend and. Great MR if you have one planned!

Just came back from my run... My thanks to OP.

I actually stayed 4 days though, so not a true MR, I guess. I did AirBnB it though, so it was still pretty cheap overall. Nice place! Highly recommend taking one or two days to see the city. Little India, Orchard Street, the Marina Bay Sands (the Gardens, specifically) were worth seeing. Got some fantastic photos.

Glad that you enjoyed it and if anyone can spend a few days it is definitely worth it. Usually go 2x a year on business and always enjoy it.

I'm very new to complex itineraries, so please excuse the newbie question. I have no issue departing from SFO but I'm wondering, can I hop off at JFK on my return leg and just sacrifice 2.5k miles? Or does not completing the last leg invalidate the MQMs for the previous legs? If so, is there a way to structure this in ITA without the last JFK to SFO?

I am quite certain you will get credit for the flights you have completed. Did you try pricing it as two separate trips and finishing at JFK, it may cost more but you can see if you end up with the same costs. Let me know if you get the same price or less.

Book as multi city

Here are prices and MQM for Apr 29 out back May 2
$1228.70 22,732 MQM SFO JFK NRT SIN NRT JFK
$1231.20 23,177 MQM SFO JFK NRT SIN NRT SEA JFK
$1400.21 23,913 MQM SFO JFK NRT SIN NRT LAX JFK

Take your pick, would probably work for other dates given in earlier messages. Let me know if it works for you!

Thank you very much! Another newbie question - how do I translate these complex ITA itineraries to bookable fares on delta.com? Or do I need to call them in order to book these?

Can be booked at Delta.com, book as multi city with first leg SFO JFK NRT SIN and second leg SIN NRT SEA JFK which gives a few more miles unless you want the SIN NRT LAX JFK rout which gives more miles but also costs about $170 more, take your pick, is up to you. Let me know what you end up with and how it goes. Regards and Happy Flying!

I don't typically "need" mileage runs, but I still enjoy them as I am in the group of folks who simply enjoy the art of flying and the travel experience. And of course it doesn't hurt me in maintaining Diamond status. I am on a MR similar to this itinerary on April 26-28, 2013 going MIA-JFK-NRT-SIN-NRT-JFK-MIA. If anyone else will be onboard let me know. Flights are all DL 782-173-621-622-172-1085.
