Go for it, I can't do it now, something called work. Let me know how you like Changi airport if you have never been there. Will be going out in June to do some work and possibly MNL as well. Have a good trip!

I'm booking today, 3/4/13 returning 3/7/13. I will let you know...already sussed out the airport website. Plus, you can get a free 2hour tour leaving from the airport.

Csfing1 Feb 6, 2013 11:27 pm

Probably won't be any tours to the city at the time of night when you are there. If you stay overnight and can get more or less the same price, SIN is an interesting city.

Current prices as of Feb 11
$1331.30 Mar 4-7, 11-14

Or, for those who are actually making a real trip, the T fare LAX-SIN-LAX is only $888 ai. Sample dates 11 March-1 April. I didn't try routing via the East Coast because my schedule is too tight to permit that. I actually bought the U fare because that is all that was available when I wanted to go. $963 ai 14 March-3 April.

Csfing1 Feb 12, 2013 1:37 am

The only reason to go thru JFK or ATL in to increase MQM, cost is usually higher as well.

THANK YOU!

Thanks for the tip! I booked a trip originating from Austin TX for just 1400! Woo hoo. It will be a LONG couple of days, but that's a LOT of miles. Should be interesting. Thanks again. :D

For full experience of Singapore you need to go to Mustafa Centre and after that - to Gaylang, preferable after 7PM.

Csfing1 Feb 12, 2013 10:52 pm

Mustafa Centre is great for shopping, it is the a Singapore version of Walmart, it can be a bit crowded on the weekends but they have a huge selection and even have a restaurant on the roof of the newer part of the store. The owner is a friend. The largest computer store in SIN is Challenger in the Funan Centre downtown, there are many branches in other shopping centers throughout town but the prices for most things are just as good in US but some accessories may cost less there. If you like birds, the Jurong Bird Park is excellent, also have an excellent zoo.

Have a great trip, how many days will you be there and how many MQM did you get and what was your routing?
