My Flight was booked to RGN - BKK - NRT - SFO on TG/TG/NH
I got a confirmation email, E-Ticket number (205) and a charge displayed, But also see a pending credit on my online credit card.
Are there more examples of this yet? That's my routing too, and I gave them 4 days to cancel before I transferred miles from Chase>UA and booked an outbound award. That should be plenty of time. I'm not going to let them get away with this :P

L'etoile may know more specifically, but it seems to be a standard DOT fine amount:

That references a fine for the full-fare advertising statute in the DOT ruling that also contains the price increase/error fare statute in question here.

Same amount also referenced for tarmac delays in this article:

Not that anybody's likely interested, but there are still decent fares available in Y. $281 for RGN-BKK-HKG-AMM-JFK.

Yeah but my date of travel is May 27th 4 months wouldn't help me much. To be fair I planned for cancellation (nothing booked that isn't almost 100% refundable. If they cancel on me I'll be out $75+$149, which I'll be sure to try and obtain from them moving forward)

Fair enough...good luck. I hope you get to be a guinea pig at RGN.

That's the civil penalty statute. $25,000 per day.

And to see past enforcement, see here:
http://airconsumer.dot.gov/rules/consentorders.htm

Both airlines and OTAs like Orbitz have been dinged for unfair trade practices. Given the recency of the new regulations my guess is that DOT will not let Vayama and KE off the hook on this one.

Me too

[EDIT] Besides, I figured I'd have a better chance of flying it if I booked it close in, and this was my first available weekend. I needed to request vacation at work, order a visa and book a positioning award. I'd have gone this weekend if I could have

Some good RT's are still available - nice way to see JNB (from RGN) and earn 200% miles and the SAA flight...

FWIW, all my money has been refunded, including the ticket fee, Vayama fee, and currency exchange fees. I am out exactly $0 from this.

RGN - SFO in F $450 one way AI; other N. America cities included, prices vary

Had no issues getting a DL stock itin printed out at an airport ATO. Ticket issued by a credit card loyalty program.

The agents did caution against schedule changes and having to get the coupons swapped out.

What sites are still active on the deals you're posting?

Looks like the same sites that were used for the other tickets, but since everything is getting cancelled after booking I don't know if anything will still hold

Just received a call from Cheapoair. I spoke with their agent and was given various reasons as to why they cannot ticket my flights:

They stated that I should contact Japan Airways to have the tickets issued.

I think there is another complaint we can rise against vayama.

Discrimination of names! ( yes also for me a first time case!)

If you are not called David, you cannot work for them!

      ;-) ;-) ;-)
