  • Fare feels too good to be true? Don't call the airline!!!!!!
  • Double check that the fare is actually in Business or First as some online search engines or OTA's confuse booking classes on some airlines.
  • Post as many details as possible about the First / Business fare, including fare class, fare basis, one-way / roundtrip, sales channel, sample dates & total price, including taxes.
  • Post the details within the thread itself and not in the post title field as any information typed here cannot be seen by members accessing the thread using mobile devices.
  • Refrain from posting fare requests or engaging in off topic debates such as fare trends, specific aircraft configuration or visa requirements
  • The deeply discounted international fares discussed here are almost always specific to a certain country of origin, so don't ask if it works in reverse (e.g. a SFO-LHR-SFO fare usually won't work LHR-SFO-LHR). Domestic fares more commonly work in reverse.
  • Last, but not least, Don't call the Airline!

Thanks all for the help on the ???-MAD deal. I finally found some suitable itins on DL.

Settled on MIA-ATL-MAD-ATL-MIA DL metal and 006 ticket stock for 11 nights in mid-May $1498ai.

Booked into S, which may become Z before the trip due to SkyTeam fare harmonization.

$1498 / 14,792 MQM/EQM = 10.1 cpm.

Now that's a deal.

BOS and ORD were about the same price. I also checked June departures and they were about $300 more. Still a great deal

BOS/LAX/ORD/MIA - MAD deals

I've been playing around with the routing on these. Finally pulled the trigger on ORD-ATL-FRA-MAD and back in late June.

Before fare class bonus something over $0.17/mile ($2088 ai - booked on UA website). After bonus should be close to $0.12 ... not bad for business (even if it is the old LH J seat).

Thanks to all who posted on this. Was about ready to give up on finding a nice vacation this summer that also was productive miles wise.

Seeing other very reasonable prices in BIZ to other cities in Africa too for around 3K.
ZXRCT45 is AC's Sunday-Wednesday (TATL segments) fare for USD2491 r/t a/i; the other days it's ZWRCT45 for $2832. Looks like AC 767 for the TATL, then onward to JNB in an SA 340. Depart 22Feb-30Apr, 14 day adv, stay 3d/12mo. Not too bad for a long ride, tho I know nothing about biz on the airlines involved. Some KLM/DL fares around $3k, but the OW folks will be lucky to find $7K

Found it now on Orbitz but not showing on ITA for me.

Sadly it was Air India, not useful for me at this moment.
Thanks for your answer though.

It is still on matrix - $542. Can't seem to price it in Z on several OTAs.

DL PDX-MEX P/I, $965 ai

Maybe borderline value, but quick and easy to do w broad availability. M-UP fare. All over the place on ITA w max miles (7,300 base; approx 13cpm) via MSP, ATL in both directions. Various lesser miles alternatives. All narrow body a/c unfortunately.

Bookable on DL.com using multi-city to force the second stop.

The fare is also available from DFW for a few dates in June to both MAD($1719) and CDG($1840).

Agreed. The seat map I saw for DFW-ICN showed 7 across in business, so that tells me old AA business on the 772.

EDIT: Already posted earlier here: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/20286844-post454.html Sorry about the repost.

Was hoping to see your fare on UA. But found LAX-ATL-MAD-ATL-MAD on DL for $1800 (14 cpm) on ITA. Several dates in Aug.

Can even be had for $1600 (12.5 cpm) for several dates in Sept. Both book into A for domestic leg, and S for TATL leg.
