Delta PM with 95,849 MQMs and a couple of domestic trips coming up (AUS - DTW). Don't want to reach DM this year so that I can carry over MQMs for next year. I have $590 in eCredits that expire on 01/05/2013.
Home base AUS.
ORD-IST-ORD 12/05 - 12/10 is showing $530. Is it a good idea to book this with credits and book AUS-ORD-AUS with miles?
Any input would be greatly appreciated!

Have 95,849
+ ORD-ATL-AMS-IST-AMS-ATL-ORD; 12,764 MQM
+ AUS-ATL-ORD-ATL-AUS; 2,838 MQM
+ AUS-ATL-DTW-ATL-AUS x 2; 5,628 MQM
= 117,079 MQM
Even with different connections, I don't see how you can get to 125K with these flights unless you're booking in First. Based on that, I'd say to use the vouchers. Keep in mind that depending on when the vouchers were issued, you may not be able to combine them on a single purchase.

Should be perfectly safe if you don't engage in risky behavior. A layover in Frankfurt should be fun, they have a huge christmas market/food stalls on the streets around the center of the old town. Very easy to get there on a train from FRA.

I'm flying ORD-IST from 12/7-12/9 too! This is my second run. I did one last week as well and spent two beautiful days there. PM me for details and maybe we can have a drink in AMS!

Found this fare through an Air France sale for ORD - IST. First check AF website and it will give prices for the different days. I booked this for 1/16 through 1/23
$0.047 per mile
