Delta PM with 95,849 MQMs and a couple of domestic trips coming up (AUS - DTW). Don't want to reach DM this year so that I can carry over MQMs for next year. I have $590 in eCredits that expire on 01/05/2013.
Home base AUS.
ORD-IST-ORD 12/05 - 12/10 is showing $530. Is it a good idea to book this with credits and book AUS-ORD-AUS with miles?
Any input would be greatly appreciated!

I'm making quite a few assumptions with the routing, but here are the numbers I came up with:

Have 95,849
+ ORD-ATL-AMS-IST-AMS-ATL-ORD; 12,764 MQM
+ AUS-ATL-ORD-ATL-AUS; 2,838 MQM
+ AUS-ATL-DTW-ATL-AUS x 2; 5,628 MQM
= 117,079 MQM

Even with different connections, I don't see how you can get to 125K with these flights unless you're booking in First. Based on that, I'd say to use the vouchers. Keep in mind that depending on when the vouchers were issued, you may not be able to combine them on a single purchase.

OK I finally bit the bullet on this one. Can't wait to spend a couple days in IST.
I'll be there 11/30, 12/1.

For those booking ORD - IST, what are they offering for Premier Accelerator? I think buying a chunk of miles + what I get for the flight would put be at 1K fort the year, but wanted to know what it would cost me.

For my ORD-IAH-EWR-IST-EWR-ORD itinerary in February:

Purchase 13,102 miles for $263; Add Premier Accelerator for $1,245 more ($1,508)

-or-

Purchase 26,204 miles for $525; Add Premier Accelerator for $2,490 more ($3,015)

So you're looking at 11.5 cpm there...

booked

I booked a quick turn to IST for $504

Leaving 12/8

-ORD > LGA

-EWR > IST

Returning 12/10

-IST > EWR

-EWR > ORD

All UA.

Have ~ a 6hr layover in NYC. Figured I could meet my sister or friends for lunch.

Headed to IST 12/7 - 12/9

Anyone else booked on Delta/KLM for 12/7 -12/9? Would enjoy meeting up with another FTer on this mileage run on KLM:

12/7 - ORD-AMS-IST

12/9 - IST-AMS-ORD

Should be perfectly safe if you don't engage in risky behavior. A layover in Frankfurt should be fun, they have a huge christmas market/food stalls on the streets around the center of the old town. Very easy to get there on a train from FRA.

I'm flying ORD-IST from 12/7-12/9 too! This is my second run. I did one last week as well and spent two beautiful days there. PM me for details and maybe we can have a drink in AMS!

DL: ORD-DTW-AMS-IST-AMS-ORD $537.10ai

DL: ORD-DTW-AMS-IST-AMS-ORD $537.10ai

Found this fare through an Air France sale for ORD - IST. First check AF website and it will give prices for the different days. I booked this for 1/16 through 1/23

$0.047 per mile
