With your schedule, I would go straight for the bus on arrival. The Polaris lounge is very nice but it is in the C concourse and all you will likely have time for is at best a quick drink.

When did you last use the TTB? It seems the airport has been gradually expanding the hours of operation and now claim 11AM to 9PM. It's hard to believe 9PM really means 7:45PM.

Not according to some of the complaints posted here and elsewhere. My last personal experience was last fall. When was yours?

Sounds like the hours have changed (or "will be shifting", timeline unspecified) per our friendly ORD employee:

I need to snap a photo of the new hours so this will help put the issue to rest.

I'm also hearing the reverse will start sometime this week if things go according to plan.

As I am there this evening (Monday June 10), some confirmation/clarification of (a), how long the bus service runs and (b), whether the T1 pickup point at B1 is operational yet would make a huge difference to my transit strategy and experience.

If there's lots of doubt, I'll play it safe and head directly to T5

thanks all!

I haven't but when I do I will go by what the official website claims and not what some poster who used it once about nine months ago (when it was on a different schedule anyway). Would you?

There have been times when the last shuttle went before the posted times, this year too. I’m not sure why they can’t get their act together to make sure the last bus goes at the posted time for the end of the service and not even a minute earlier.

Also, last year there were times when the bus had more passengers waiting than the next departing shuttle could fit. And given the gaps between shuttles has varied this and last year, there is room for the service level of the airside shuttle to be improved.

Here’s a picture of electronic signage being loaded in T5.

Reverse starts Friday.

Shuttle from Gate B1 in Terminal 1 to T5 is operational. Last one tonight (Monday night) was at around 8:30-8:40 (despite it supposed to be until 9:00)
SanDiego1K and legalalien like this.

I’ve been out of town on work. That is great information and the reason for 2100 was to help connect some of later departures. Someone will have some explaining to do.

To the forum, any feedback will be helpful.

I believe it's near M1 and, no, you don't reclear security as it's an airside bus.
