At essentially $20/yr. I think it makes sense even if you only travel INTL once or twice a year. On my last flight from NRT-ORD, there were probably 1000 people waiting for immigration and I walked right around them all to an empty GE kiosk.Originally Posted by milepig

I can't stress for the Summer 2012 season how GE will save you time based on the flight schedules in front of me. Originally Posted by milepig

On average between the 1500-1600 hour for summer 2012 (June, July, August) arriving seats are 3848. The design of the building is 4000/hr. Although this doesn't seem like a lot, the 4000/hr rate is based on using all 68 immigration booths, something that has never happened since the building opened in 1993.
How do you get global entry. I'm travelling via ORD next spring and I'm worried about the stop over time so I don't miss my flight. I'm travelling with the wife and 2 kids.

1. Each of you MUST separately apply & qualify for Global Entry. Your family cannot piggyback off of your Global Entry membership.
2. Global Entry is great for speeding you through Immigration. However, you may still encounter a slowdown if you've checked luggage. (Remember that if you have a connecting flight, it needs to be claimed, clear customs & then rechecked.) I flew into JFK with my Mom recently. I used GE, since I had a connecting flight, and she used the regular lines since she doesn't have GE/JFK was her final destination. Her checked luggage came up before mine, so she still managed to clear Customs before I did.

It paid off the entire $100 on my second trip. I made a connection re-entering the US at IAD after arriving late. I would not have made it without GE. My coworkers (who do not have GE) arrived back home 6 hours later than I did.

What information are you looking for a source? The Summer 2012 seat counts or the 4000/Hr. rate.
I can say S12 is based on submitted schedules for the IATA Slot Conference. The 4000/hr, I'll have to dig into my T5 folder and get the fact sheet out and see if I can post it.
