How do you get global entry. I'm travelling via ORD next spring and I'm worried about the stop over time so I don't miss my flight. I'm travelling with the wife and 2 kids.
Two things to consider:
1. Each of you MUST separately apply & qualify for Global Entry. Your family cannot piggyback off of your Global Entry membership.
2. Global Entry is great for speeding you through Immigration. However, you may still encounter a slowdown if you've checked luggage. (Remember that if you have a connecting flight, it needs to be claimed, clear customs & then rechecked.) I flew into JFK with my Mom recently. I used GE, since I had a connecting flight, and she used the regular lines since she doesn't have GE/JFK was her final destination. Her checked luggage came up before mine, so she still managed to clear Customs before I did.
