Hi, I'm looking to beat some rates marriott.com is quoting for hotels in NYC on October 10-13. Unfortunately this is right in the middle ground between the valid periods of the EEO certs, otherwise that would be prime.

The best rates I'm able to find so far are:
Marriott LaGuardia $199
Courtyard LaGuardia $189
Fairfield Inn LaGuardia/Long Island City $151.20
Fairfield Inn LaGuardia/Astoria $189

Thanks!

Central London 18th November

Hi all,

looking for a better rate 18th November for 1 night, either
London Regents Park - 175 (not advance) or
Maida Vale - 155

or any central london hotel that would come down to around 120

I have found a couple of cheaper rates but either the rate is prepaid, or the cancellation terms/room types are different ;-(

Thanks...David

On the marriott website, the best available rate is 239$ for two queens bed (or 227$ for AAA). I did try every possible options to have a better price than this one but guess it's harder than I thought. We plan to book 2 rooms. Any idea on how to be successful?

Thank you for your time...
I'd suggest staying instead in Newark. I just stayed at a rate of $119/night (for a week stay, Mon-Fri) at the Springhill near the airport. This property is the best of the 3-in-a-row there (SH, FI, CY). Take the free shuttle to EWR and then catch the NJ Transit train, right to NY Penn Station. Couldn't be handier, and the one-way train ticket is only $15. If you are looking to save some money, this is it.

Thank you for your valuable input. The only thing about the Newark, is that we are 10 people travelling together. If you multiply 15$ one way ticket for the group, it's 150$ one way... and another 150$ for the return... So I guess we won't really save with the option you mention . Guess the best price I have found for this hotel is still the AAA rate at 227$.

Am I wrong, or this rate should be easy to cancel without any penalty at least one day before the arrival, right?

JW Marriott Desert Ridge, Phoenix.

24/08/09 to 30/08/09

Some unbelievble high rates for what is low season in Phoenix.

Currently at $599 per night before tax!!

I have found rates of a quarter of that on www.gtahotels.com and www.travelrepublic.co.uk.

They refused on the gtahotels.com because it gives you a free night which apparently rules it out. All the other rates are for a different room type (no view).

Anyone able to find a "Deluxe Premium View". The cheaper rooms are simply not available on the Marriott website - will they appear closer to the time?

Courtyard Bangkok Nov 6, 1 night.

Best I can find is 3799 or 4099 S4B on marriott.com

I have JW on a LNFG already, but since I arrive late, would prefer to save some money.

Looking for a lnf for either marriott eaton centre in toronto, or Renaissance Toronto Downtown for November 27th for one night. best rate on site is 289 for eaton and 249 for renaissance.

Found one site with possibly better rate but the description of the room says for double room or twin room type and I called ren and they said they had no twin rooms, nor room with one double bed. Help please! The price is significantly different.

Would it be possible to make a list of the best websites you all have found so it helps us find the best rate?

Maybe a sticky??

Just an idea

LNF DC

Hi All,

I am having trouble looking for a low rate on the Washington Marriott or the Renaissance M from 11/06 to 11/09. I find 134 and 179 on Marriott.com. A couple months ago they had rates lower than these so wondered if anyone knew if the still exist?

Thanks a lot,

ab
