Still trying for my LNF in SJU. Just learned per this rule:

2) The guarantee does not apply to the following rate types:

Pre-paid rates that involve a voucher or other form of pre-paid certificate (including electronic vouchers and certificates) for a hotel stay outside the United States and Canada.

Puerto Rico does not constitute as part of the United States. So, why did we let them foreigners vote for our President?

Thanks to Chuckles and Glenthebaker,

I got a successful LNF rate of $70.19 at the Detroit Marriott Troy (was $109)

A huge thank you, I really appreciate it.

I just started using LNF in the past week, so my sample size is rather small. But I am batting 100% (2 tries, $433 savings, no issues) on USA properties, but 0% (4 tries - they nit-pick that the room descriptions are not 100% the same, currency conv issues, etc) on non-USA properties. Are others seeing this (I do see in this thread Amersterdam and S Korea recently, so know it can be done). Are there any special secrets to the non-USA properties? Thanks.

Has anyone had any success with a LNF guarantee using I24 as the comparison?

Back Bay Boston area Dec. 7-22

My daughter has interviews for her medical school residency and needs to be centrally located in Boston so she can use the subways. I think the only available Marriott properties are the Boston Marriott Copley Place and two Courtyards - Boston Downtown/Tremont and the Courtyard Boston Copley Square. I'd love for her to stay in a Marriott but I need to try to keep the price to about $100/night. Impossible? I don't seem to be able to find any specials in the gold elite deals. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
Thanks!

Red face London Heathrow Marriott

Hello, I am new to this board and new to Marriott Rewards (although I have already jumped on the Marriott Rewards Visa Card bandwagon) and hope it is not too presumptuous to ask for help with rates in my very first post!

I have booked a night at the London Heathrow Marriott for January 6-7, 2009 at a rate of £163 GBP (Stay For Breakfast) and that is before taxes. I know there is a £146 rate if you are a leisure club member but unfortunately I am not. There is a £139 rate but it does not include breakfast. I should also add that the Renaissance at Heathrow doesn't seem to have any openings for that date.

Can anyone offer me some help at finding a better rate for January 6-7 at the London Heathrow Marriott?

Many thanks!

Thanks for the message hammythehammer but unfortunately there was no link in the message you sent, perhaps you forgot to paste it in the message?

Oh, I should also note that a prepaid rate is not of use as we will be flying from Canada and in January there is too great a risk of cancellation due to bad weather. I have been caught out before by this!

Thanks again
