Marriott Concierge-Bonus bucks with S4B packages?
I am at the Renaissance Las Vegas this weekend on a S4B rate of $149-it was cheaper than the regular rate when I booked.
Bonus Buck(earned at the same property)accepted at check in-after MUCH scrutiny. Later got a call from the front desk that I could not use the $100 BB with the rate booked. This is a publicly available, non discounted, rate. Was this correct? Thanks in advance for your response. |
Sounds ridiculous.
S4B is a publicly available rate, I don't see why a BB couldn't be used. :td: |
There seems to be more and more problems getting EEO's and BB's/PP's applied.
When I stayed at the Las Vegas Renaissance I had to get the "Platinum" line to get the EEO properly applied to my folio. |
This hotel calls all rates unpublished even public specials and then says eeo not allowed. I think we all must call corporate to complain about this hotel. They don't follow rules and are not marriott owned, coincidence I think not.

Marriott newbie want to ask about Weekend Bonus Bucks
Hi all,
I am new here, I have got a $100 USD Weekend Bonus Bucks Coupon from the last stay in Renaissance Kuala Lumpur Hotel and I would like to stay at the Bangkok Marriott Resort & Spa in the coming weekend, before my reservation, I would like to ask some questions: 1. Is that I must do the phone reservation as the conpon stated? (as I prefer doing it online) 2. Are the Leisure rate/Stay for Breakfast entitle for using this conpon? 3. Will the rate from online differ from phone? I think these are the questions I want to know at the moment, thank you very much for your help~!!:) PS: Is Bangkok Marriott Resort & Spa a nice place to stay? :D |

Have a lovely stay! |
[QUOTE=GlennTheBaker;10617299]I have used Premium Pounds/Bonus Bucks extensively and have never once called to make the reservation. I've always reserved online.
QUOTE] Really thank you for your answer as when I read the back of the coupon, the first line is "Reservation Information: reservations MUST be made in advance by DIRECTLY calling:......" That makes me feel is that what I can book will be totally different from their web:D Thanks |
Absolute crap. S4B is as public as they come.
|
One of the (invalid and irrelevent IMO)points brought up by the night manager at the LV Ren.was that I reserved online rather than through the 800 number.
So you might want to book via phone if you are in doubt. I think this is a silly move-but since when is Marriott imune to silly(downright stupid in some cases)moves. |
I would make the reservation through phone just to be sure, especially if this is the first time you use BB.
And yes, Bangkok Marriott Resort & Spa is nice. |
Bad Experience Using Marriott Bonus Bucks
I recently tried to use Bonus Bucks on a publicly available rate adjusted downward because of a Look No Further guarantee.
Even the Front Desk Manager of the property claimed that I could not use the BB. She promised to doublecheck and get back to me though; however she never did. This in spite of the fact that the BB were due to expire within a week. I finally got the LNF folks to contact them and set them straight; however, I still did not hear back from the hotel even after this. Finally I went down to the front desk and tried to use them again, they accepted them without a word. No apology for their mistake offered by the property. |
