I got a similar one for JW Phuket from UA - fine print says must be 35 years old and other asociated junk. Would have done it otherwise.

Marriott Son Antem Spa and Golf Resort, Mallorca Spain-- Trip Report
I just came back from a 6 night stay at the Marriott Son Antem Spa and Golf Resort in Mallorca, Spain. This is a mixed location with a full-service hotel as well as MVCI villas. I've stayed at a few of these types of Marriotts and don't have anything really bad to say about it. I do like that there is always a Marketplace to buy some snacks at reasonable prices instead of $5 for a snickers from the minibar.
I had been in contact with the activities desk before I left and had received their complete list of activities. While extensive, I noticed that it seemed to lean heavily to children. This should've been a big alert to me.
When I arrived, the staff (entirely consisted of Germans, really, no joke) were very friendly and efficient. I was given my room which was very nice with a big terrace to enjoy a decent view of mountains and a golf course.
Ok, golf courses are nice. There are 2, east and west. Both are very good and by no means easy, but not exactly the most difficult. Tennis courts are plentiful. They have a full-time professional. Andres is half-Spanish/half-Swedish. Nice guy. Good instructor. I just hit around with him one-on-one just to have some fun. Decent rates. Spa is very nice. Yordan was my masseur. Very professional and excellent. Perhaps the best massages I've ever had in my life. Every afternoon, a little slip was put under my door with a "special offer" from the spa. I received a special offer of 53 euros for 90 minutes massage. I thought this was MORE than reasonable and took advantage of it 4 times. Every time I asked for Yordan and he was available.
Now, to the bad parts. The pool is large and has a separate area for children, but I estimate that 90% of the guests were German and British. For some reason, the parents were often in the bar, golf course, or tennis courts leaving the children in the pool unattended and unsupervised. One lifeguard who did not speak English or German was on duty, but he was not in a mood to control the kids. They were really out of control. Adults simply could not enjoy a swim in this pool. In addition, even though the pool is outside, it is bordered on 2 sides by buildings, and when the adults that were sunbathing were smoking like chimneys. The smoke just got trapped in by the buildings and created a very unhealthy atmosphere. It was really disgusting. The other bad thing was the food. This hotel's food is HORRIBLE. The breakfast was ok, but everything on the menus, especially for room service was just really really bad. The hotel's remote location means that unless you have a car, you are stuck eating the hotel's food. I did not bother to rent a car. I wish I had. The food was really bad, poor presentation, very very small portions and just horrible.
I did complain to the F&B Manager and he was very empathic. He did reduce my F&B bill and said he would look into things. He seemed to be surprised which I found a little hard to believe. I had heard the same thing from other guests.
Overall, the staff are really friendly, the rooms are nice, and the activities are plentiful, but if you are a single adult or couple, I do not think I would recommend this hotel. It is much more geared towards families with lots of offspring.

Marriott Son Antem reports
Son Antem, Spain
Having searched for this property and not found any recent reports, I wonder if anyone can give me any ideas / reviews of this resort. Perspective a non golfer and with family.
Pool? Surrounding area? Food?
Any exec club facility?
Any advantage at all in having Gold status?

This is a lovely resort on a beautiful island. I stayed here for three nights about two years ago...enjoyed it very much. I never received any upgrades, but my room was very comfortable, clean, etc. Since there is a hotel and timeshare situation, this resort has a lot of pools for your family members and the exploration of the area is tops. There is no executive lounge offered that I recall.
Beaches, ancient cities and friendly people are your top reasons for staying here. Enjoy!

The timeshares are in buildings containing 8 units. There is a pool for each of the buildings.
The resort is a 15-20 minute from the main shopping and restaurant area in Palma Majorca. There are lots of things to see on the island, but it isn't small so plan on doing some driving.
Our favorite restaurant when we stayed there was in Randa. They had some incredible spit roasted lamb and pork shanks. It was recommended by the someone on staff so I suggest you check with them for the name rather than relying on my memories of 8 years ago.
There are restaurants on site.
We stayed there on a timeshare exchange so I cannot answer questions about the value of status.

We were there on a paid reservation about 3 summers ago and got a lovely suite upgrade. We booked a hotel room at whatever would have been the best view/room type offered. We drove around in the evenings and found little hillside restaurants - food was very good here and we thought prices were wonderful. Ate lunch in little town squares. Maybe we beat the European vacation crowd as I believe we went in May or early June. Wine was very good also especially for the price. I remember being invited to a managers reception with very decent finger foods. We did not use the spa - very very booked. The other side of the island had beautiful curvy drives overlooking the ocean - drives seemed a little James Bond... hairpin curves, beautiful scenery, not enough room for two cars to pass!

Done about 6 stays at this property. Very easy for PMI - about 15-20mins away. Can only comment on the main hotel and not the timeshare. Great hotel with generally relaxed and friendly feel to it. Breakfast is outstanding. Have only eaten dinner in the hotel 3 or 4 times and that was fine. Good size unheated outdoor pool with pool bar though not that cheap! There's also a heated indoor/outdoor pool in a seperate building. Great fun being able to swim in and out - used it in December last year and being in warm water was excellent. When you check in , find out where your room is if you're on the 2nd floor - some of them are above the bar/restaurant and while there's not much noise, they do start setting up breakfast from 06.00 onwards and the dragging of chairs and tables has woken me up a few times. If you've got a hire car then it's about an hour from one end of the island to the other. Loads to do.

These are all good comments and suggestions thank you. I will endeavour to track down the restaurant you mention as we like to eat off site.
If there are any other Mallorca restaurant recommendations, please add to the list.

points for presentation.
I have been here for half of my stay, and it is a high class resort. Perhaps not for the faint hearted if you don't own Euros.
I have managed to receive good concierge recommendations for non tourist price restaurants, but you have to press just a little harder to get those.
Staff all good disposition. Only disappointment perhaps is the offer of 10k MR points for a one our presentation pitch, I am not if I want to give up my own time for what seems quite a low return, but perhaps that is the standard for these things nowadays, it just seems a bit low to me.

Son Antem Mallorca
Hi. Does anyone have any recent experience on whether this property offers breakfast for Golds. Don't think it has a lounge (well, can't remember seeing one on our last trip!) but am aware that some resorts do still provide a breakfast to golds and plats.
Thanks^

Just heard some rumors that the Marriott Mallorca Son Antem hotel will become an Iberostar hotel. Anyone knows anything about this?

Is it already all inclusive? I think many of the Iberostar properties are.
