We were there on a paid reservation about 3 summers ago and got a lovely suite upgrade. We booked a hotel room at whatever would have been the best view/room type offered. We drove around in the evenings and found little hillside restaurants - food was very good here and we thought prices were wonderful. Ate lunch in little town squares. Maybe we beat the European vacation crowd as I believe we went in May or early June. Wine was very good also especially for the price. I remember being invited to a managers reception with very decent finger foods. We did not use the spa - very very booked. The other side of the island had beautiful curvy drives overlooking the ocean - drives seemed a little James Bond... hairpin curves, beautiful scenery, not enough room for two cars to pass!
