There are only so many upgrades to suites available on a given day. The hotel has to allocate them in some manner between the Platinums checking in. Many hotels use number of nights or stays at the hotel.
All I can tell you is that, as my stay count increased, so did the number of upgrades I received.

I don't think that upgrades are allocated based on stay count, especially during the renovation. I'm currently here on stay 59 and haven't seen an upgrade since the renovations started. Decided not to use SNAs, though, -- saving them for now. Just used five at StR Punta Mita, -- it was great!!

I have sometimes had to ask for them which really frustrates me. They cost the airline money so they try to shortchange people I guess. CA J has always given them to me, but OZ J tried to skip it until I specifically complained.

Another who doesn't mind the green tiles.
Unusual experience arriving at BKK Sunday.Breezed through Immigration and at the carousel before any bags. Those that used the fast track were a few minutes behind us.
There have been lots of cancellations this week though with the protests.

Considering that it is a short week due to the King's birthday and next week is also a short week and the year end is near... December business arrivals and business stays will be done anyway.

While the effort by the hotel is certainly appreciated, it does seem a little odd to me that someone who stays 50 one night stays is treated the same as someone who has, e.g., 300 nights in 50 stays.
Just sayin . . .

50th stay is a five-night confirmed upgrade to a specialty suite.

Also either my 60th or 80th stay(can't remember) I got a cert for RT limo to the airport.
All very appreciated.

I got a luggage tag for my fifth stay as well earlier this year... they left it in a SGS box and slotted it into the metallic letter stand located on the main work desk. (the one where the staff will slot your mails/ messages if there are any for that particular day)
