Not even for platinum. As a platinum, the only thing you get extra is the "higher" speed wifi (there are two speeds; one for $14/day and the other is $28/day). The $14/day is included as part of the resort charge for everyone; while the $28/day is included for platinum members.

Typically a garden jurnior suite. You can ask for a standard ocean view tower room. No lounge. Coffee is now served near the front entrance to Surf Lanai.

When you booked the C&P, did they charge the $150 per night to your credit card straight away? Or do they wait and charge when you check in?

Did not charge the monetary value right away (No $150 charge on my credit card). However, they did take the points right away. I'm pretty sure this is how C&P redemptions work. Even in the past C&P redemptions, they always took the points first, and I paid the "cash" part after check-out.

I am planning my first Hawaii trip with wife and am attempted to stay here. Would appreciate any insights for a few questions.
1. Do they charge parking if I get a rental car?
2. How much is the full breakfast?
3. What is the chances of Plat upgrade?
4. Anyone used blue hawaii website to book it? they seems to have pretty good deals (e.g. room + rental car; room + breakfast). The lowest rate is 380/d for the dates I am looking at, my company code can get it to 304. Blue Hawaii offer 303 including a rental car.
Thanks,

Checked in today and Rob in guest services was so very nice. C&P for four nights, booked a garden view and there was an available ocean front tower with a view of Diamond Head from the deck. They had a corner tower room with 2 doubles when we checked in (early) but we waited and this room is lovely. Small but nicely equipped, elegant and the bed is what the Luxury Collection delivers...Bliss. No one prepared me for the amazing (shall we say european) toilet? keypad on wall of various "extras".....everything but soft jazz. The best part of the hotel is the soft sand beach. Absolutely pristine and tonight we swam under a full moon and it was fresh, clean and clear; you can walk out a long way and just wave-hop. Nice sandy bottom way out.
We attended the manager's reception and the Hors de'oeuvres were marvelous....lobster, chopped and mixed with deliciousness; lamb skewers, beef skewers and chicken skewers and caprese salad on-a-stick all just wonderful and mai tais and pink(of course) champagne.....we skipped dinner because we indulged. Very elegant and very nice. This is really a fabulous and quiet, restful hotel in the midst of any kind of activity you wish...Very busy shopping, dining and nightlife all around and we are in a pleasant oasis of old-world charm.
