I believe that any cash bookings, cash and points and cash require a deposit.

I would have booked points only to avoid that.

however, if it really isn't in the terms then I'd contact them and tell them. But yes these links are genuine lots of hotels which are expensive expect a deposit before.

I've booked a lot of very expensive hotels but never really seen a deposit on a points booking. I just did a dummy booking, also with cash+points, and it did not indicate a deposit would be taken, so I really don't know how to proceed. I assume the hotel will unilaterally cancel the booking if we don't pay it.

The person who had this issue and unfortunately neither Amex nor the Westin was able to change anything to honor the 6x. Hopefully it works for you, please update! This was a friend who went in October. We ended up using CSR.

Does anyone have recent information whether using Marriott branded credit cards (for example Ritz), will result in proper Bonvoy points earning (6x)?
TIA

I used my Bonvoy Amex and got 6 times the points. This was 2 weeks ago.

We are family of 4 ( 2 adults + 2kids), I am only seeing rooms with points for 2 people, do they offer any upgrades for Gold members or paid upgrades wit accomodate 4 members. Appreciate if anyone can let me how much upgrades cost from points reseration to OWB with pool.

just search on the website instead of the app - there it will offer upgrade options.

My understanding is the only room that accommodates more than 2 people is the 2 bedroom villa and that is not bookable with points. I would email the hotel and ask them if there are any other options.

Would you guys recommend any excursions? I'm considering a cruise but there's a lot of options (luxury, private, cultural, lagoon etc). Thanks!

We did this one and it was worth every penny times 10.

Just wondering where I could find the schedule of the free shuttle transfers from the Westin to the mainland. I couldn't immediately locate it on the property's website.

I don't think this link has been shared before, but you can find everything here: https://thewestinboraboraresortandspa.bowo.app/ (menus, programs, activities etc)
and specifically the shuttle's schedule: https://thewestinboraboraresortandsp...pp/pages/17572

And... THIS is gold. I searched everywhere and beyond and just couldn't find. The resort themselves sent me links which provide just generic info so this is what I was looking for. Thanks!!!

hope you had an amazing time!

how did you book your reservation? points or cash?

if points - did you ask about room upgrades at check in? really curious what the general cost is for points booking room upgrades.

would love to hear any tips or tricks from things you learned.

Thanks - it was a great 5 nights.

Reservation was booked with points, 259k for 5 nights.

I was upgraded to an Otemanu view OWB at check-in due to my platinum status, and inquired about the OWBs with plunge pools, but was told that they didn't have any available (which was weird given it was low season and the resort didn't feel busy at all), but I didn't press it any further.
