Quick question: additional users
 

How many additional users can you have per SPG card account, both personal and business?

For instance, I have 5 addt'l users (plus myself) on my HHonors card, wondering if it's the same for SPG accounts.

Yes there is.

There is a 5K referral bonus for a BIZ card. By the way you can only refer someone for a BIZ card if you have a BIZ card.

Just wondering if there is any success with getting another bonus if I had my last SPG card and bonus in 2005.

AMEX says only once in a lifetime.

I imagine it depends how long they keep data and how facile there database system is in searching for earlier records.

Has anyone been able to do a referral recently? I am trying to refer someone for the Business card and haven't been successful.

I clicked on the link at the bottom right of spg.com (ie Refer a Friend, Earn Rewards). That took me to an AmEx page where I selected 'Tell a Colleague'. I then logged in with my Amex account and then got a form which asked for my name and email as well as the names and emails for those I want to refer. I filled that in and hit 'Send' after which I received a message saying 'We're sorry. The system is not responding. Please try again later.'

I've tried for several days now and am still getting the same message. I recently called in about this issue but had no luck.
- Called Starwood (I was redeeming an award over the phone so I told them about this). They said AmEx would be able to help and transferred me there
- AmEx first said the promotion was gone and that I was probably using a link from a website that shouldn't be out there. I walked them through where I got the link (spg.com) and got to the error message. He then transferred me to Technical Support
- Technical Support said they were aware of the issue and had a ticket open but had no idea on when it would be resolved. They said I could do the referral over the phone and tried to transfer me there - but it was after hours so they gave me the number: 1-800-433-3550
- I called the number and was told they don't do referrals over the phone and that I received the wrong info from technical support.

Anyways, has anyone submitted a referral recently? I might try again to get somewhere over the phone but right now I'm losing hope lol..

Referral bonus
 

If I refer someone and get the 5K bonus, what signup bonus are they getting? Is there a spend requirement?

The ones that I have sent out have been:
10k - First Purchase
15k - Reaching 15k (USD) spend within 6 months

(=25k total bonus)

*Just tell the person signing up for it to check the email. I think it clearly states it somewhere if you scroll down in the email.
