As you may have gathered, Sevilla is not just about this wonderful Starwood property, the town is one of the best in Spain. Experiencing Easter day in Sevilla was a once a lifetime bucket list item. My wife and daughter did not let me go to the year's first bull fight. I am an animal lover, but wanted to experience this drama for myself and only once to see what the hype is all about. The hotel was like very expensive frosting to the Sevilla portion of the trip. Enjoy. Good luck!

Can anyone confirm that an Amex Plat FHR booking for the Alfonso includes the full buffet breakfast, and not just continental? Amex FHR directory states the usual "Daily Breakfast" benefit, but I've learned (the hard way) properties sometimes interpret that very differently. Thx!

Was thinking of staying here during Holy Week next month and wow the nightly room prices are out of this world Guess I'll go another time or book really early in advance, esp given Holy Week is one of the biggest events on Seville's calendar.

To close the loop, Christina confirmed with the hotel that Amex FHR bookings include the full buffet as the breakfast amenity. ^

Has anyone stayed here with an infant? I was trying to book a reservation and the difference between 2 adults, and 2 adults with an infant means a 400 euro increase in price.
Anyone have insight on this?
Thanks!

How old is the infant? If they don't require a bed (i.e will sleep in a cot instead), then just select two adults and request a cot as well.

I spoke to the hotel, and they required me to book a higher level room. I had to pay for the extra costs, since the previous room only accommodates 2 people. Changing the reservation to include an infant also costs additional.
Rather disappointing, since they advertise that kids 12 and under are free. Very misleading.

IMO it's worth booking the grand deluxe anyway, the room we go was enormous (I think we got upgraded to a junior suite)

Hello. Can someone provide experiences with transportation options from SVQ airport? I'll be traveling with an infant, so I am debating between public transportation or town car with car seat.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Anyone have any experience with the Deluxe or Executive Suite types- I'm particularly interested in a room with a terrace and under room description it notes that private terraces are available in some rooms...
thanks!

Keep in mind that during the summer, it can top 35C, so maybe walking 1km with stuff isn't appealing.
For anyone considering booking an LP rate (which includes 100 USD dining credit), be aware that it only includes the San Fernando restaurant. In other words, it does not include Ena, the pool or Bar Americana. This was a terrible disappointment to me, as the primary reason I booked here was to eat at Ena. I've tried arguing and pleading, but was SOL. It would be nice if LP and/or the hotel actually clarified that in the rate rather than leaving it open ended as they do.
EDIT: Had a minor argument with the FDC at check out because my credit wasn't applied, and they weren't going to honor it because I ate at the "bar" instead of the "restaurant" part of San Fernando. Absolutely ridiculous. Sevilla is beautiful, but I'll probably check out the Design property before coming back here.

Truly an aspirational property
Such a lovely hotel! Very old world charm with reasonable prices e.g food, laundry, etc. (definitely cheaper than SPG Madrid!)
Did a BRG rate of 176 euros (breakfast included) per night at a Category 6 property for 5 days and I was expecting no upgrades or ambassador amenities whatsoever.
But lo and behold, I was told I was upgraded to their "premium deluxe" suite upon check-in, even at 10 AM. So super happy about that. The suite is definitely on a moorish/baroque blend design with high ceilings and large, ornate chandeliers to boot. All for a rate of 176 euros! (Normal price is like 300+ for cheapest cat with breakfast)
But not only did I get my suite upgrade, I also got free 5+2 bottles of water per day, cheese and crackers, and a bottle of red wine, compliments from my amazing ambassador! What a nice way to finish my 100th night for this year..Thanks Ambassador Team! :-)
