We've met couples doing all levels of dining but for us we see a ton of value in the plans, especially Full Board. Since the tax and service charge is included and with our breakfast benefit we only need to spend $123 pp on food, beverage and mini bar to come out ahead each day and that is extremely easy. After diving this morning we wanted a snack and 2 cokes and a bag of chips from the mini bar was $27.

Thank you! Didn’t realize how wildly expensive every little thing is there! Super helpful Did you do the Teppanyaki at Tabemasu at all? Was that worth it?

In all the info that I've seen, minibar is only included with AI; are you saying that Full Board can use the mini bar as well? TIA!

Yes, food beverage costs are high especially once you factor in the tax and service charge. Yesterday we easily spent $200 each with 2 drinks each at lunch/dinner and our meal choices. My husband didn't even have a third course at dinner!

We actually did the sushi class at Tabemasu on Monday which was lovely. We have not had dinner there yet though we will likely do it later in the week (you do get a discount there with Full Board).

It is! Only food items and nonalcoholic beverages though. To have complete access to the beer/wine/spirits you need AI.

We really thought we would be doing AI for part of our trip but after experiencing our first day of Full Board yesterday we are leaning towards staying with it now. Especially since they have added Riviera Restaurant to FB giving 3 dinner options. Riviera is fantastic by the way!

Good news is the new Riviera Tapas restaurant is now included in Full Board (the Riviera Bar is still only AI).
It figures this would happen just 2-3 weeks after offering to prepay the AI before they said the price wasn't changing due to the tax update. Though I did find some $200 3 course w/ drink combos under the AI menu. I guess I'm going to try even harder to milk out as much value as I can.

Yeah kinda BS with that. They stated prices would be staying the same. They could have simply said they weren't allowed f&b pre-pay, but they said prices were staying the same.

I think you'll still see plenty of value after factoring in the breakfast credit and tax versus a la carte. You only need to spend $186 and that will be easy. We spent $220ish yesterday without even trying and my husband skipping dessert at dinner. And my lunch dessert was actually the least expensive option, Gelato.

Do they refill the minibar with nonalcoholic beverages upon request?

I responded to the email I had from them on the pre-pay question and they are going to honor the $260 AI rate and add a note to my reservation. So far I'm happy with the service received before I even get there . I'm looking forward to finally getting there on Friday.

They refill all consumed food/non-alcoholic beverages each day during the first room servicing so no need to request. The staff have all been absolutely wonderful!

Are portions at dinner that small? Between a buffet breakfast and three course dinner, we were planning to bring some snacks and expecting to be set. I'm no small guy, 6'3" 210 but can't imagine needing another $75pp FB or $150 AI for lunch. We're not the type to be drinking with meals though. Figure we'll take the excess $900-1800 for our stay and put it towards something nice.

Im heading to the resort in two weeks and have gotten several emails requesting to pay for seaplane. I know some travelers have mentioned that they have switched to having to prepay for it rather than adding it to the folio upon check out. I emailed them yesterday and requested paying it at check out, and they responding saying they needed to collect the seaplane transfer charges as it is operated by the third party service provider. I can't find any fine print in my reservation anywhere that states it needs to be prepaid. I obviously don't want to gamble my seaplane transfer by not paying prior to arrival, but I would really like the extra 12x points by paying at check out. Anyone had success pushing to pay at the end recently? TIA

Anyone here been both to Westin and Le Meridien? Just wondering how they're compared since price is about the same right now. I've done Le Meridien twice already, wanted to go one more time and deciding if want to try another island.
