T&C:

Registration of your Marriott Bonvoy account is required. Marriott Bonvoy™ members who register for this promotion by May 21, 2019 will earn double points per stay, starting with their second stay during the promotion earning period. The double points earning is only applicable to members’ base points earned per stay. The promotion earning period is for stays between March 19, 2019 and June 4, 2019, at participating Marriott Bonvoy™ properties. A 'stay' is defined as consecutive nights spent at the same hotel, regardless of check-in/check-out activity. Rooms booked through most third party online retailers and select travel agency bookings are ineligible to earn for this promotion. The member receiving this offer has been targeted and the offer is not transferable. ExecuStay, Marriott Executive Apartments and Marriott Vacation Club® owner-occupied weeks are not eligible for bonus points and nights spent while redeeming an award are not eligible for bonus points. Only one room per hotel is counted toward a member’s nights or stay. Members electing to earn miles are not eligible for this promotion. The 500 bonus points per weekend stay is in addition to any double bonus points earned. Marriott Bonvoy member’s card account must be open as of May 21, 2019 in order to qualify for the Card Member bonus. To be eligible to receive the Card Member bonus, Card Member must have an active Marriott Bonvoy member account linked to their credit card that was used to register for this promotion. Isn’t it just a little bit sad that Marriott can’t seem to get a promotion correct and isn’t it sad that the burden of getting the correct amount of points is on the “valued” customer. There seem to be many here who have not had the order of stays and therefor the points, not post correctly, It would be less work for Marriott if they did it correctly in the first place.

Earn 2X Points! Except not YOU

Hello all -- There is a prominent promotion at the moment on the Marriott Bonvoy home page. In numerous locations on the site, it encourages you to register for the promotion. Clicking on it provides the following error message. Amateurs!
We're sorry, but there was an error in directing you to this promotion.

The reason for this error could be:
  • You're trying to access a miles promotion and are a points-earner, or vice versa
  • You are not eligible for this promotion
  • This promotion has expired

I seem to somehow be enrolled for two different double points promotions - Double Take and Double Up (one excludes award stays)...I haven't been staying at Marriotts lately, does this mean I should get 4x my normal points on paid stays?

Lucky you! Actually it just trebles base points, because each double promo is independent of each other. You should be getting 30 base points per dollar spent, plus whatever elite and cc bonus you are entitled to.

There is still only 10 base points per USD, as the elite bonus and cc bonus will only be calculated on the 10. Then there will be 10 points per USD for each campaign as well. 10 base and 20 bonus points per USD spent, or?

Thanks, makes sense. I didn’t figure it would stack.

Probably a stupid question, but I just logged into my account & there are now 2 different double points promos in the promotion section, both of which say to 'register now'.

How???

Clicking on 'see all your promotions' just takes me right back to where I started from...???

I even got a card for one of these promos in the mail, as well.

After a bit of advice. I have just had a number of stays mostly with cash rates and double points have posted correctly however I had an award stay which incurred additional spend and base points posted without any issue however i received no double points. Is this correct or should double points be awarded for all base spend?

Same rules as SPG. Reward nights are not considered "eligible" stays for promos.

I am currently midway through a ~20 night stay at a Ritz, which would be my first stay of this promotion.

If I do a 1 night stay this weekend, would that stay count as my first? I.e. I will get the double points for the longer 20 night stay?

If you book one night at another hotel, go and check in and stay the night (without checking out from your current room), possibly it could count Though I am not sure what the rules are, and if an audit of your account might nix that again should it count.

If you just check out and check in from your current room, without having a break in between then it will count as one stay
