T&C:

Registration of your Marriott Bonvoy account is required. Marriott Bonvoy™ members who register for this promotion by May 21, 2019 will earn double points per stay, starting with their second stay during the promotion earning period. The double points earning is only applicable to members’ base points earned per stay. The promotion earning period is for stays between March 19, 2019 and June 4, 2019, at participating Marriott Bonvoy™ properties. A 'stay' is defined as consecutive nights spent at the same hotel, regardless of check-in/check-out activity. Rooms booked through most third party online retailers and select travel agency bookings are ineligible to earn for this promotion. The member receiving this offer has been targeted and the offer is not transferable. ExecuStay, Marriott Executive Apartments and Marriott Vacation Club® owner-occupied weeks are not eligible for bonus points and nights spent while redeeming an award are not eligible for bonus points. Only one room per hotel is counted toward a member’s nights or stay. Members electing to earn miles are not eligible for this promotion. A ‘weekend stay’ is defined as a stay that includes a Friday or Saturday night regardless of where the hotel is located. The 500 bonus points per weekend stay is in addition to any double bonus points earned. Marriott Bonvoy member’s card account must be open as of May 21, 2019 in order to qualify for the Card Member bonus. To be eligible to receive the Card Member bonus, Card Member must have an active Marriott Bonvoy member account linked to their credit card that was used to register for this promotion. If you incur charges on an award stay, do those count?

Since this offer is retroactive, once the stays are posted, this should sort itself out as far as the bonus points go, but if you should need our assistance, feel free to reach out via the email address below.
My 1st stay is 29th March and my 2nd stay is 30th March. If the 1st stay posts after the 2nd stay meaning the double points are credited to that stay (wrong one), can this be corrected? How will it "sort itself out"? I’m concerned because my 2nd stay is a much bigger spend.

Yes it can be corrected. If t doesn't do so automatically, you can call and have it corrected.

I'm pretty sure there will need to be some manual intervention. It's surprisingly tricky to code an automated routine that will credit the points correctly when the triggers (the stay credits) could arrive in the wrong order, or be retrospectively added, removed or updated.

Much simpler if you waited till after the end of the promo period then do one sweep. Or had been wise enough not to launch an "after the second stay" promo at all.

I haven't said that correction would occur instantaneously. But thanks anyways.

Same here (points posted correctly on 2nd stay) -- so far this promotion is working exactly as designed. Kudos.

I wonder that too always. Also wonder why at the invoice they give you at the end of your stay just doesnt mention how many pts you will receive for that full bill.. That way its atleast possible to check if you received the correct amount etc.

I got 500 "extra" points on my recent reservations in addition to the Double Take bonus. I have the SPG biz card but didn't use it for the reservations, do the extra points have something to do with having the card?

I have had two weekend stays so far, without 500 points on either one. I thought it had to do with my card being an old, unupgraded one. But I see in the terms and conditions that the bonus points will be awarded up to six weeks after the promotion ends.

Missing weekend bonus points: Doubletake

Ok, super early. And not surprised. But I’m missing my 500 mile bonus for the 1st stay at a TownPlace this past weekend. My promos show that I have 1 stay, 0 points.

Whats the best way to get them? Should I just call?

Is this the Amex weekend bonus? If yes, see post # 327.
