Will points awarded for restaurants and bars also be doubled?

My 2nd stay will be Laguna Resort in Bali, but I am planning to head over to their sister property the St Regis for drinks and dinner.
I presume all F&B spend in the Laguna will be doubled, but what about F&B spend in property's without a stay?

Any spend that gets included in your base points will be doubled.

Since the promotion is based on stays, I can't see how F&B spend, without a "stay", would be doubled.

Do you need to get a new card or will the old SPG Amex work just fine?

I lucked out!!

Stay #1 started before March 19, but check out was on March 20, so it qualified for the promotion.

Stay #2 was one night and check out was on March 21

Stay #1 and #2 posted at the same time on March 22. The system credited my 1 nighter (stay #2 ) as stay #1 , and my actual stay #1 received 2x points.

My stay #1 was for 3 nights; whereas my stay #2 was only for 1 night - score!

There is a data point below that indicates that such stays, starting before March 19 with check out on or after, do count for this promotion. I read that on another thread to.
Sure hoping this is correct, since I had such a straddling stay, and I am hoping it counts as the 'first stay', because of this ridiculous 'starting with second stay' trick they have learned from IHG and Hyatt.

The second stay requirement for these style campaigns have been a regular feature for years with Marriott, it is not something they just thought of.

Points-crediting system and delays

Maybe this matter has already been discussed elsewhere but I didn't find the proper post, sorry in this case.
I have no idea of how Marriott system works in crediting points after each stay.
I am enrolled in the Take Two promo and I had my first stay on the 20th March that, till today, has not been posted yet.
I had my second stay checking out on the 25th March and, unbelievable, it has been posted immediately the following day, obviously without points for the Take Two promo (double points from the second stay), since the first one was not in the system.
How can it be possible that the previous stay is not accounted after a week, and the second one just after one day?
I called the first hotel and they confirmed me that it is not the hotel posting the points, and they just checked that everything was correct on my file (name, membership number ecc) and it was.
So, could anyone clarify this "mystery" ?
Thank you!

I can imagine that there'll be quite a number who will get in a quick 1-night stay to activate the promo immediately ahead of a much longer stay, so this'll be one to watch closely.

Well, it seems we already have 2 datapoints to tell us what *actually* happens.

Hello GoldenItalianBoy,

We allow our hotels 10 business days from your check-out date to post all the eligible nights and points in your account. After this time frame, you can fill out the missing stay form here.

Since this offer is retroactive, once the stays are posted, this should sort itself out as far as the bonus points go, but if you should need our assistance, feel free to reach out via the email address below.

If you are enrolled manually by an associate at the customer engagement center, it can take up to 48 hours for the registration to show online. IME, no confirmation emails are sent for these types of registrations.

Dear Bonvoy Lurker,
thank you very much for your kind reply and for your service here, that we all appreciate a lot.

I am just curious to know how this posting system works, since - from what the hotel told me - it seems that is not the hotel to add manually stays and points, but they should go "automatically", when all the data are on file.

Otherwise, how could I explain to myself the gap of posting time between a stay and another? One hotel is quick and another one is slow?
Sorry for that but it remains a huge mystery to me.

Stupid question but I have never really taken much notice of F&B spend however on two recent stays I have spent over 800 quid. Should F&B show up on your base points or as 'extra'? How is it possible to know if you have been credited the additional points for F&B? Obviously the answer will determine whether this is relevant to this thread or not...
